Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Audi A4 is described as a well-rounded compact luxury sedan with a balance of comfort, technology, and driving appeal, and it benefits from years of refinement by the end of its run. Is the 2016 Audi A4 reliable?

The 2016 A4 is described as having few issues according to the buying guide, especially alongside the 2015 model from the same generation. That makes it a reasonable used-car pick if you want a premium sedan with a reputation for being a sensible pre-owned choice. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A4?

At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of past bodywork, uneven panel gaps, or wear that doesn’t match the mileage. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the premium experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 696 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,241, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $11,541 sits slightly below last year's $12,096.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and service history matter even more because they can help your car stand out in a softer pricing environment. A well-kept example should still hold appeal thanks to the model’s premium image and broad shopper interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,484, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $11,541 average.
• The 2017 brings a full redesign with a more modern, forward-looking design and technology package.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid shopper interest and strong satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling cabin and a redesigned package, the 2017 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2016 is the more practical choice.
