Is the 2015 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota Camry earns a 4.83/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, reliability, value for money, and quiet ride. That lines up with the Camry’s role as a practical midsize sedan that aims to satisfy both emotional and everyday-use buyers, especially if you want a daily driver with broad appeal.

The market also shows 28.9% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the broader ownership story emphasizes dependability, trouble-free use, and strong long-term value. The expert commentary also reinforces that this is a car built around low operating costs and a reputation for being easy to live with.

Toyota also includes free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the Camry’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

At 45.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any accident history or inconsistent service records. Focus on body condition, repair quality, and whether the car’s features and safety systems work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE starts with cloth upholstery, 16-inch steel wheels, and a basic equipment set, while the SE adds a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, and sportier trim details. The XSE and XLE bring more upscale equipment, with the XSE leaning sporty and the XLE leaning comfort-oriented.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 3.5-liter V6 with a 6-speed automatic and paddle shifters in higher trims, and the V6 is described as strong and quick. The source also notes hybrid-powered versions of the latter three models for buyers focused on fuel economy.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic alert are present on the test vehicle, and the Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam headlight control. Safety Connect is reserved for the XLE.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with USB, Bluetooth, and voice recognition. Higher trims can upgrade to a 7-inch screen with HD Radio, predictive traffic, weather, cache radio, Entune App Suite, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 test vehicle returned 22.9 mpg, while the source says EPA guidance for that car was 25 mpg.

Which 2015 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XSE, XLE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, with the essentials you need for daily driving, including a rear-view camera, power features, cruise control, and a touchscreen infotainment system. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and don’t need the sportier or more luxurious extras.
• SE: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds a sport-tuned suspension, larger wheels, and a more distinctive cabin and exterior treatment without jumping to the top of the range. Choose it if you want the Camry to feel a little more polished and engaging without overspending.
• XSE: This trim adds LED running lights, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, upgraded infotainment, and heated front seats with more upscale materials. It suits you if you want a sportier look and more comfort features.
• XLE: This is the comfort-first choice, swapping the sportier setup for a softer ride, leather upholstery, and a more upscale interior. It’s the trim to choose if refinement matters more than appearance or handling.

Safety Connect is reserved for the XLE, and the Advanced Technology package adds key driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Camry?

Act selectively, because this is still a seller’s market even though there are some good opportunities if you know what to target.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,770 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.55% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 45.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,395, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $13,269 sits slightly above last year's $12,691.

That upward move suggests the Camry is holding value reasonably well in the used market. If you buy one at a fair price and keep it in good condition, you should have a decent shot at preserving value when it’s time to sell.

The price range also shows that the market has a clear ceiling near the current average, so overpaying leaves less room for future resale strength. Strong demand for practical, reliable sedans helps support the Camry’s position over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2015 Toyota Camry earns a mix of four- and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with an overall five-star rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Top Safety Pick commendation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota’s Safety Connect service is reserved for the XLE and includes automatic crash notification, emergency assistance, roadside assistance, and a stolen vehicle locator. The Advanced Technology package adds lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning and braking, and automatic high-beam headlight control.

One caveat is that the lane-departure warning can be intrusive, so you may want to test how it feels before you buy.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 4.55% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings new styling, an upgraded interior, and expanded infotainment and safety technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,991, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,269 average.
• It emphasizes simple, sensible, affordable, and safe transportation.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,941, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,269 average.
• It offers a competent hybrid experience with strong space and features.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of style, features, and market availability, the 2015 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling alternative and can spend more, the 2016 is worth a look.
