Is the 2015 Subaru WRX STI a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI stands out as a focused, rally-inspired performance sedan that still manages to be practical enough for everyday use. Subaru’s all-wheel-drive system is standard, and the car’s performance hardware gives it a serious edge on both gravel and pavement. It also has aggressive styling and a reputation for being a future classic rather than just another used sports sedan. For you, that means the appeal is in the mix of serious pace, usable features, and all-weather capability, even if the ride is rough and the interior materials are cheap. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Subaru WRX STI reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI is presented as a performance car with practical strengths, including standard all-wheel drive and a layout that works for everyday use. At the same time, it is also described as a car that has often been heavily used, abused, or modified, so condition matters a great deal when shopping for one. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about the badge and more about how carefully the specific car was maintained and driven.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Subaru WRX STI?

At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of hard use, modification, and wear, since this model is often driven aggressively and condition matters a great deal. Pay close attention to the overall mechanical state and cosmetic consistency so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been abused.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru WRX STI?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 138 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.11% year-over-year.

If you find a listing below $18,439, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru WRX STI's resale value?

The current average of $19,564 sits slightly above last year's $19,160.

That upward move suggests the market still places solid value on this model year, which can help support resale if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. Because demand appears steady and inventory is not especially large, a clean example should remain easier to move than a neglected one. For a future seller, the biggest advantage will come from documentation, originality, and evidence that the car was cared for rather than modified heavily.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru WRX STI or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.11% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the 2015 Subaru WRX STI specifically, it makes sense to focus on the cleanest, best-documented example you can find, because condition matters more here than it does for many used cars. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and shop for the best-maintained car rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
