Is the 2015 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Nissan Rogue earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

There are 31.2% good and great deals in the market, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to comfort, good fuel efficiency, and a spacious interior, along with a smooth ride and a well-liked audio system. That kind of owner praise usually suggests a vehicle that people feel good about living with over time. The Rogue’s everyday dependability is helped by its easygoing nature and broad appeal, though used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition because age and mileage can change the ownership picture quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Nissan Rogue?

At 53.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle’s equipment and safety features work as expected. If you’re comparing multiple Rogues, pay close attention to how each one presents inside and out, since condition can vary a lot in a market with mixed accident history.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base S models include keyless entry, LED running lights, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 5-inch display with rear-view camera, and a USB interface with auxiliary audio input. The SV adds alloy wheels, roof rails, a 6-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and NissanConnect, while the SL brings heated leather seats, heated mirrors, voice control, a power liftgate, a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, and an 8-speaker Bose stereo. The base trim is the one most likely to feel light on convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a single 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. The setup is described as underpowered and noisy, though the Rogue’s fuel economy is a strength.
• Safety package: The available safety suite includes blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and moving-object detection. Those features come with the Premium Package on SV and SL trims, so lower trims miss out on that added protection.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses a 5-inch display, while higher trims can add a 7-inch touchscreen, NissanConnect smartphone integration, navigation, and the Around View camera system. Wireless smartphone integration and over-the-air capability are not mentioned.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD Rogue is described as returning 25 mpg city/32 highway/28 combined.

Which 2015 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2015 Nissan Rogue is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the simpler feature set. You still get a rear-view camera, LED running lights, and keyless entry, but it is the most basic way into the Rogue.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds alloy wheels, roof rails, dual-zone climate control, a power driver’s seat, and NissanConnect. It also opens the door to the optional third row and the Premium Package.
• SL: This is the most upscale choice, with heated leather seats, a power liftgate, navigation, the 7-inch touchscreen, and the Bose audio system. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and tech, but it costs more and is available only as a 5-seater.

The Premium Package adds the full safety suite, including blind-spot, lane-departure, forward-collision, and moving-object detection warnings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Nissan Rogue?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,088 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,386, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $9,386 sits slightly below last year's $9,787.

That decline suggests the Rogue has softened in the used market, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, that means pricing competitively will matter, especially if your vehicle has average mileage or visible wear. On the other hand, a well-kept Rogue with strong equipment and clean history should still attract interest because it remains a familiar, practical crossover.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2015 Nissan Rogue earns an overall four-star rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crashes and four-star ratings in rollover tests, but three-star ratings for the driver and two-star ratings for the passenger in frontal crashes.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and hill-start assist. If you choose AWD, you also get hill-descent control. The available Premium Package adds blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, and moving-object detection. The frontal crash results are the main concern, and that is the key safety caveat to keep in mind when shopping used examples.

Should I buy a 2015 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Rogue stands out for its polished redesign carryover, refined appearance, and broad everyday appeal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $8,581, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $9,386 average.
• It offers a practical crossover with a strong value proposition and useful everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2015 is the stronger pick because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a broad selection of listings. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the more budget-friendly path, especially if you find one with a clean history and good condition.

How does the 2015 Nissan Rogue compare to the 2015 Honda CR-V?

Our experts score the 2015 Nissan Rogue 6.5/10 and the 2015 Honda CR-V 8.5/10. The Rogue is the cheaper used buy and offers more listings to shop, but the CR-V brings stronger overall expert appeal and better efficiency on paper. If you want the lower purchase price, the Rogue has the edge; if you want the more highly rated crossover, the CR-V is the better pick.
