Used 2015 Nissan Altima for Sale near Oregon

How much does the 2015 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 6.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,620 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Nissan Altima earns a 4.67/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth performance, reliability, fuel economy, comfortable interior, and modern features. That lines up with the overview’s focus on a family sedan that feels engaging rather than purely practical, especially if you want responsive handling and a well-rounded daily driver.

With 25.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, smooth performance, and a car you can count on, while the expert evaluation notes that the Altima’s quality, dependability, and reliability ratings trend as average. The performance write-up also describes the 2.5-liter engine and CVT as lively, refined, and quiet, which supports the sense that the car is built to be easy to live with.

The ownership picture is mixed rather than bulletproof, so a used example is best approached with careful maintenance records and a close look at condition and history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Nissan Altima?

At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage car or one with a long option list. You should also focus on signs of wear in the cabin, electronics, and suspension, since those areas matter most in a used family sedan.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5 S, SV, and SL are less equipped than the 3.5 S, SV, and SL, and the stripped-down 2.5 base model is the least feature-rich choice.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder makes 182 horsepower and pairs with a refined CVT; the 2.5 models emphasize efficiency, while the 3.5 versions add more power.
• Safety package: The available driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and Moving Object Detection; these systems are standard on 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL, but only optional on 2.5 SV and 2.5 SL.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 5-inch NissanConnect screen, while the Technology Package upgrades to a 7-inch screen with voice recognition, SiriusXM traffic, and Travel Link; wireless smartphone integration and OTA capability are not mentioned.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter model is rated at 27 mpg city and 38 highway, and the expert test car averaged 27.8 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2015 Nissan Altima is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5 base model, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 S, 3.5 SV, and 3.5 SL.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 base model: This is the stripped-down entry point, so it makes sense only if your priority is the lowest possible purchase price and you’re willing to give up equipment.
• 2.5 S: This is the simplest mainstream choice if you want the Altima’s core driving character without paying for extra convenience features.
• 2.5 SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, NissanConnect with Mobile Apps, a reversing camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and remote engine start.
• 2.5 SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and convenience beyond the SV.
• 3.5 S: Pick this if you want the V6 powertrain and are willing to trade up from the 2.5 models for stronger performance.
• 3.5 SV: This is the best choice if you want the V6 plus more standard safety tech, since the blind-spot monitoring system, lane-departure warning system, and Moving Object Detection are standard here.
• 3.5 SL: This is the top choice if you want the most equipment and the V6 together.

The safety package is worth prioritizing if you want the most advanced driver-assistance features, especially because those systems are standard on the 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Nissan Altima?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,620 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.23% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 46.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,177, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $8,177 sits slightly below last year's $8,719.

That downward move suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, the safest path is to buy a clean, well-maintained example at a strong price so you have less depreciation left to absorb.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2015 Nissan Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Easy Fill Tire Alert system helps you maintain proper tire pressure, and most models also include smart automatic headlights linked to the windshield wipers plus a reversing camera. The available driver-assistance suite adds blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and Moving Object Detection, though those features are not standard on every trim.

Should I buy a 2015 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings strong handling, good fuel economy, and a well-rounded mix of comfort and technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $7,697, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $8,177 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, efficiency, and affordability over driving engagement.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $9,292, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $8,177 average.
• It adds a deep refresh with crisp styling, excellent economy, and more tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and driving enjoyment, the 2015 is the sweet spot. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 is the value play; if you want newer styling and more tech, the 2016 is the upgrade path.
