How much does the 2015 Nissan Altima cost?

There are 1,626 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price and condition.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Nissan Altima earns a 4.67/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth performance, reliability, fuel economy, comfortable interior, and modern features. That lines up with the overview: you get a well-rounded family sedan that balances responsive handling, comfort, and efficiency, even if it is less dramatic than earlier Altimas. The market also shows 27.6% good or great deals, so you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima reliable?

The performance write-up also emphasizes a refined CVT and a powertrain that feels lively and spirited, which supports the sense that the car is easy to live with over time. The cost-effectiveness notes add that Nissan often offers strong incentives on this model, including rebates and financing deals.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that average dependability history can make condition and maintenance records matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Nissan Altima?

At 45.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a collision or shows uneven panel gaps, tire wear, or paint mismatch. Focus on how the car drives, how the transmission behaves, and whether all electronics and safety features work as expected. If you are comparing multiple listings, condition and documented maintenance should matter more than small price differences.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5 SV adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, fog lights, NissanConnect with Mobile Apps, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, a USB port, satellite radio, a reversing camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote engine start. It is a strong value if you want a well-equipped daily driver without moving up to the pricier 3.5 models.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder makes 182 horsepower and pairs with a refined CVT. It is described as lively and spirited, with strong real-world acceleration and responsive handling.
• Safety package: The available driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and Moving Object Detection. These features are standard on the 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL, while the 2.5 SV and 2.5 SL can be optioned with them.
• Infotainment: The available NissanConnect setup uses a 7-inch screen in the Technology Package, up from the standard 5-inch display. It adds voice recognition, SiriusXM traffic, Travel Link, navigation, smartphone syncing, text-messaging support, and useful app integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The Altima is rated at 27 mpg city and 38 highway, and the expert observed 27.8 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2015 Nissan Altima is offered in 6 trim levels: 2.5 base, 2.5 S, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 SV, and 3.5 SL.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5 base: This stripped-down version exists mainly to advertise a lower starting price, so it is the least compelling choice if you want a well-rounded ownership experience.
• 2.5 S: This is the entry point for the 2.5-liter lineup, but it is not as well equipped as the SV or SL.
• 2.5 SV: This is the best-value trim. It adds the most useful everyday equipment, including the reversing camera, dual-zone climate control, power driver’s seat, and NissanConnect features.
• 2.5 SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale 2.5 model and are willing to pay more for added equipment.
• 3.5 SV: This is the better pick if you want the V6 and the standard safety suite, since those driver-assistance features come standard here.
• 3.5 SL: This is the most upscale gas model in the lineup, combining the V6 with the highest equipment level.

The safety package is standard on the 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL, while the 2.5 SV and 2.5 SL need it as an option.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Nissan Altima?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with patience and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,626 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 45.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,170, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $8,171 sits slightly below last year's $8,694.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a clean, well-kept Altima should still attract interest, but overpricing it could leave you sitting longer than expected. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter more in a market where values have already eased.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2015 Nissan Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Easy Fill Tire Alert system helps you maintain proper tire pressure, and most models also include smart automatic headlights linked to the windshield wipers and a reversing camera. The available driver-assistance suite adds blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and Moving Object Detection, with those features standard on the 3.5 SV and 3.5 SL and optional on the 2.5 SV and 2.5 SL.

Should I buy a 2015 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It balances handling, fuel economy, technology, and comfort while staying a very good all-around family sedan.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $7,656, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $8,171 average.
• It is a practical, comfortable, fuel-efficient daily driver.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $9,260, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $8,171 average.
• It brings a deep refresh with crisp styling, excellent economy, and more tech.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right choice if you want the best blend of value, comfort, and everyday usability in this generation. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the better budget play; if you want fresher styling and more tech, the 2016 is worth the extra cost.
