How much does the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 9.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,964 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5. It also earns an 8.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious features, smooth ride, comfortable interiors, powerful performance, and advanced sound systems. The overview also frames it as a capable and comfortable SUV with a wide range of trims and engines, so you can tailor it to your needs rather than settle for a one-size-fits-all setup.

With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s enough market flexibility to shop selectively without feeling rushed.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable enough to live with happily over time, especially when you value its comfort, performance, and upscale feel. The expert drive notes also describe it as a well-mannered, capable SUV that stays composed in difficult conditions, which supports the case for everyday confidence.

The maintenance coverage includes a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty and 5 years/100,000 miles of roadside assistance.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that quality concerns and non-warranty repairs can still show up, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, warning lights, and evidence of deferred maintenance. Because this model can be configured in many ways, you should also confirm that the specific features you want are actually present and working.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Laredo is light on features, while higher trims add items like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, a power liftgate, and more luxury equipment. The Limited is the point where the Grand Cherokee starts to feel firmly luxury-oriented.
• Powertrain: Engine choices include a 3.0-liter Pentastar V6, a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and an SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8. The EcoDiesel stands out for efficiency and torque, while the V8s prioritize power and towing.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control. Higher trims add blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and a rear back-up camera.
• Infotainment: The base system uses a 5-inch touchscreen, while higher trims get an 8.4-inch screen with SiriusXM, HD Radio, and navigation. Wireless hotspot capability is also built in.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.0-liter Pentastar V6 returns 17 mpg city and 24 highway for 4WD models, while the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 rates 21/28 with 4WD. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is rated 14/20 with 4WD, and the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is rated 13/19.

Which 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in 8 trim levels: Laredo, Laredo E, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, SRT, SRT Red Vapor.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, but it is very bare-bones, with minimal features beyond basics like dual-zone automatic temperature control, Bluetooth, and keyless entry. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable keeping expectations modest.
• Laredo E: This trim opens the door to a wide range of useful options, including appearance, comfort, towing, and off-road packages. It is the best-value starting point if you want flexibility and plan to build the SUV around your needs.
• Altitude: This is where the Grand Cherokee starts feeling more complete, with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, and a power liftgate standard. It is a strong pick if you want a nicer daily driver without jumping all the way to luxury pricing.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the rear back-up camera, Quadra-Trac II 4WD, and Selec-Terrain as standard, while also unlocking more upscale options. It is the trim that most clearly balances comfort, capability, and value.
• Overland: This trim leans harder into off-road hardware and comfort, with standard heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and the Off-Road Adventure II package. Choose it if you want a more premium and more capable setup.
• Summit: This is the fully loaded comfort-first choice, with the broadest mix of luxury and capability features. It suits you if you want the Grand Cherokee at its most upscale and are willing to pay for it.
• SRT: This is the performance-oriented version, with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a feature-rich setup. It is for buyers who care most about speed and road performance.
• SRT Red Vapor: This is the most exclusive performance trim, with unique interior trim and the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 focus. It makes sense if you want the top-end performance model with a more distinctive look.

The safety package is broad, but the rear back-up camera is limited to only a few trims, so verify that feature carefully if it matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,964 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,479, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $11,479 sits slightly below last year's $12,706.

That decline suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favorable if you plan to sell soon. A lower current price can also mean your future resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and trim choice than it would be in a stronger market.

If you keep the vehicle well maintained and choose a desirable configuration, you can help protect value better than the average listing. Strong condition and a clean history matter more when the market is already trending down.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in every category except rollover, which earned a four-star rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it Good ratings in all categories except Small Overlap Front, which received a Marginal rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control.

Higher trims add a rear back-up camera, front and rear park assist, hill-descent control, blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and electronic rear limited-slip differential. The rear camera is not standard across the lineup, so that is one of the main trim-level gaps to watch.

The Marginal Small Overlap Front result is the key caveat to keep in mind when you are comparing safety performance.

Should I buy a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a broad trim and engine range that lets you tailor comfort, capability, and budget.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,673, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,479 average.
• It blends serious off-road ability with everyday usefulness.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,947, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,479 average.
• It emphasizes towing, off-pavement ability, and Jeep styling.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the best all-around path if you want the broadest mix of trims, features, and market choice. If price is your top priority, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer-year alternative.
