How much does the 2015 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 1.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 384 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design. The Q50’s flexible personality also fits different priorities, whether you want a comfortable all-weather sedan, a tech-forward luxury car, or a sportier driver’s car.

That broad appeal lines up with the overview: you get a sedan that can be tuned toward comfort, performance, efficiency, or technology. Even with some drawbacks, the market still shows 26.8% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to its appeal for value-minded shoppers.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for the car’s strong performance, smooth operation, and overall quality. The expert evaluation also describes the Q50 as mechanically likely to be durable and dependable, despite concerns that can come with newer technology.

The ownership picture is helped by the fact that Infiniti addressed complaints from the prior model year, and the car’s mechanical foundation is presented as solid. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the specific car’s technology and equipment have aged well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?

At 47.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a collision or has higher mileage. Pay close attention to the condition of the steering, infotainment, tires, brakes, and interior electronics, since those are the kinds of systems that can affect ownership satisfaction most.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Q50 lineup includes standard, Premium, and sport-tuned S versions, and the base car is the least equipped. The Premium trim is the better value if you want more equipment without jumping straight to the sportier setup.
• Powertrain: The Q50 uses a 3.7-liter V6 with 328 hp and a 7-speed automatic transmission. It also offers drive modes including Eco, Sport, Snow/Ice, and Personal, and the hybrid version is described as both more powerful and more fuel-efficient than the standard Q50 3.7.
• Safety package: The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention. It requires the Deluxe Touring Package, which means you also have to accept Direct Adaptive Steering.
• Infotainment: The Q50 uses Infiniti InTouch, InTouch Apps, and InTuition, with dual touchscreens and a control knob for the upper display. The system is designed to be fairly intuitive once set up, though the touch interface can leave fingerprints.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test drive returned 19.2 mpg, short of the official 23-mpg combined estimate.

Which 2015 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2015 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 3 trim levels: standard, Premium, and S.

Here's the short version:

• standard: This is the entry point, but it is the least appealing if you want a well-rounded luxury experience. It makes sense only if your priority is the lowest starting point and you plan to keep the equipment list simple.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim because it adds the equipment most shoppers will want without pushing you into the sportier setup. It is the trim to target if you want the Q50’s luxury and tech strengths in the most balanced package.
• S: Choose this if you want the sportiest character and are willing to accept a firmer ride and more road noise. It suits drivers who care more about performance feel than everyday comfort.

For safety equipment, note that the Technology Package requires the Deluxe Touring Package, so some driver-assistance features are not available on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 384 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,236, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $12,669 sits slightly below last year's $12,894.

That tells you the Q50 has softened a bit in the used market, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favorable if you are planning to sell soon. A lower current average can also mean your future resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

If you keep the car in strong shape and choose a desirable configuration, you may be able to offset some of that depreciation. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The Q50 gets decent crash-test ratings, but there is room for improvement. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention, and those systems can help in heavy traffic or on long drives. The catch is that you must first get the Deluxe Touring Package, so the most advanced safety tech is not standard across the lineup.

One caveat to keep in mind is the frontal-impact result for the front passenger, which is just three-star from NHTSA. That makes a careful inspection of the specific car’s equipment and condition especially important.

Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a wide range of personalities, from comfort-focused to sport-oriented.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,509, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,669 average.
• It brings Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology directions together in one aggressive luxury sedan.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,522, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,669 average.
• It is improved and feels more credible as a legitimate luxury sports sedan.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want the Q50’s strongest mix of style, performance, and tech at a softened used price. If you are shopping strictly on price, the 2014 is the better value play, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the updated version and can stretch your budget.

How does the 2015 INFINITI Q50 compare to the 2015 BMW 3 Series?

Our experts score the 2015 INFINITI Q50 7.3/10 and the 2015 BMW 3 Series 7.5/10.

The Q50 brings more power, a higher average used price, and a much smaller pool of listings, while the 3 Series is cheaper and easier to find. The BMW also has a stronger deal share and a higher accident-free share, which may make it the easier buy if you want broader shopping flexibility.

The Q50’s appeal is its stronger performance character and richer feature set, while the 3 Series leans more toward value and availability. If you want the more distinctive luxury sport sedan, the Q50 stands out; if you want the more practical used-car shopping experience, the BMW has the edge.
