How much does the 2015 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 1.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 397 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.6/5, and experts score it 7.3/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its luxury, performance, and features, especially its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design. The Q50 also stands out for its wide range of personalities, so you can shop it as a comfortable all-weather sedan, a tech-forward luxury car, or a sportier driver’s car depending on configuration. That flexibility makes it a strong fit if you want a used luxury sedan with broad appeal rather than a one-note commuter.

27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its strong performance, smooth handling, and overall satisfaction with the ownership experience.

The expert evaluation says the Q50 is likely to be just as durable and dependable as the G37 and G35 before it, even though its predicted reliability ratings are described as weak because of new-technology concerns. That means you should separate early-tech quirks from true mechanical durability when you shop.

If you buy used, the main long-term risk is paying for a car whose technology and option complexity may have aged less gracefully than its core mechanicals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?

At 46.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or visible cosmetic wear. Focus on condition, because the Q50’s appeal depends heavily on how well its luxury features, steering feel, and cabin electronics have held up. If a listing looks unusually cheap, make sure the savings are not hiding prior damage or deferred maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version is light on standard luxury content, and the Premium trim is the step that better aligns the car with its upscale mission. The Technology Package adds a long list of driver-assistance features, but it requires stepping through other packages first, so feature access can be complicated.
• Powertrain: The 3.7-liter V6 makes 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, and it likes to rev. The 7-speed automatic adapts well, and the car offers drive modes including Eco, Sport, Snow/Ice, and Personal.
• Safety package: The Technology Package brings Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention. It is only available after you first get the Deluxe Touring Package, which means you must also accept Direct Adaptive Steering.
• Infotainment: The Q50 uses Infiniti InTouch, InTouch Apps, and InTuition, with a lower touchscreen, an upper navigation screen, and a control knob on the console. The system is designed to be fairly intuitive after setup, though fingerprints are a recurring annoyance.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test car averaged 19.2 mpg during testing, short of the official 23-mpg combined estimate.

Which 2015 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2015 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 3 trim levels: Q50 3.7, Premium, and Q50S 3.7.

Here's the short version:

• Q50 3.7: This is the entry point, but the expert evaluation makes clear that the base car is not the strongest value because it starts above $38,000 and leaves too much equipment on the options list. It makes sense only if you want the Q50’s core design and powertrain at the lowest possible starting price.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim because it is the step the expert evaluation points to when discussing the car’s more usable equipment mix. If you want the Q50 to feel like a proper luxury sedan without chasing every package, this is the trim to target.
• Q50S 3.7: This is the enthusiast choice. The sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, forged aluminum wheels, and summer performance tires add capability and sharper responses, but the ride gets taut and road noise rises. It suits you best if you care more about driving feel than comfort.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Technology Package sits behind the Deluxe Touring Package, so some advanced driver-assistance features are not easy to access on lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 397 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 46.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,238, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $12,768 sits slightly below last year's $12,943.

That mild decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of depreciation. The Q50’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction should help it remain desirable to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2015 INFINITI Q50 gets decent crash-test ratings, but there is room for improvement. The front passenger earns just a three-star rating in a frontal-impact collision, and the small-overlap frontal-impact result is only Acceptable, which means it will not qualify for a Top Safety Pick rating starting in 2016.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention, and those systems can be turned on and off from a steering-wheel button. The catch is that you must first get the Deluxe Touring Package, so the most advanced safety tech is not standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a wide range of personalities, from comfortable all-weather cruiser to sporty sedan.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,416, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,768 average.
• It introduces Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology direction in one aggressive luxury sedan.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,568, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,768 average.
• It is improved and feels more credible as a legitimate luxury sports sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2015 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the later update and are willing to pay more.

How does the 2015 INFINITI Q50 compare to the 2015 BMW 3 Series?

Our experts score the 2015 INFINITI Q50 7.3/10 and the 2015 BMW 3 Series 7.5/10.

The Q50 brings more power, a higher average used price, and a much smaller pool of listings, while the 3 Series is cheaper and easier to shop. The BMW also has a stronger deal share and a higher accident-free share, which may make it the easier used buy if you want more selection and a lower entry price. The Q50, though, stands out if you want the stronger V6 and a more distinctive personality.
