overall

Summary
With 400 currently listed for sale and an average price of $12,658, 28.0% of 2015 INFINITI Q50 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 INFINITI Q50 4.63 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.33 / 10.
48.5% of 2015 INFINITI Q50 listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 stands out for its wide range of personalities. Depending on how it is configured, it can be a comfortable and quick all-weather performer, a modern and advanced technological tour de force, a fuel-efficient luxury car, or a fast and furious sports sedan. That flexibility, along with its appealing design, is a big part of what makes the Q50 distinctive.
Its most memorable trait is also one of its most controversial: Direct Adaptive Steering. In testing, its artificial feel made the car seem almost like a video game, which may appeal to some drivers more than others. Even so, the Q50’s mix of luxury, performance, and features gives it broad appeal, and owners often praise its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design.
There are also a few drawbacks to keep in mind. The Q50 can be held back by limited trunk space, a laggy touch screen, and some road noise compared with sportier models. Those shortcomings keep it from being a perfect all-around luxury sedan, but they do not erase the car’s strong blend of style, technology, and driving versatility.

The car is a great car and has wonderful features. Lets start with the good. It has plenty of power, it rides real smooth, the sound system is good and it seems to be a reliable vehicle. The cons. Trunk space is very limited, the touch screen system seems a bit laggy. Other than that I have not had any other issues with the vehicle.

Yes — the 2015 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.63/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.
Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design. The overview also points to its broad range of personalities, so you can shop it as a comfortable all-weather sedan, a tech-forward luxury car, or a sportier driver’s car depending on configuration.
With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to find a competitive price if you shop carefully.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.63/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for its strong performance, smooth handling, and overall satisfaction. The expert notes also describe the car as likely to be durable and dependable in mechanical terms, even if some shoppers may be wary of its newer technology.
The ownership risk for used buyers is less about basic mechanical toughness and more about how well the car’s tech-heavy equipment has aged and been maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a car with advanced driver-assistance or steering technology. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, tire wear, steering feel, infotainment behavior, and any evidence that the car’s electronics have been troublesome.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Q50 lineup includes standard, Premium, and sport-tuned S versions, and the base car is missing some of the equipment that makes the higher trims feel more complete.
- Powertrain: A 3.7-liter V6 delivers 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission; the setup is quick and responsive, but fuel economy can trail the official estimate when driven hard.
- Safety package: The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention, but it requires stepping through other packages first.
- Infotainment: The cabin uses Infiniti InTouch, InTouch Apps, and InTuition, with dual touchscreens, smartphone streaming, and a touch-sensitive upper navigation display.
- Fuel efficiency: The expert test car averaged 19.2 mpg and was rated at 23 mpg combined.
Which 2015 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 3 trim levels: standard, Premium, and S.
Here's the short version:
- standard: This is the entry point, but it’s the least equipped version and is best only if you’re focused on keeping the purchase price down.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim because it adds the equipment most shoppers will want without pushing the car into the most expensive territory.
- S: Choose this if you want the sportier setup, including the more aggressive styling and the hardware that sharpens the driving experience.
The safety-package note matters here: the Technology Package sits higher in the lineup and requires the Deluxe Touring Package first, so feature-rich cars can climb quickly in price.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.
- Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 390 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.63% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 48.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $12,238, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 INFINITI Q50's resale value?
The current average of $12,661 sits slightly below last year's $12,870.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can work against future resale gains if you buy at the wrong price. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is to buy well, keep mileage reasonable, and choose a clean-history example with desirable equipment.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.63/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 safe?
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 gets decent crash-test ratings, but the front passenger earns a three-star rating in a frontal-impact collision from NHTSA, and the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact result is Acceptable.
It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.
The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention, giving you a fairly extensive driver-assistance suite for the era. Those systems are useful when you want them, but they sit behind a package structure that can make the most advanced safety setup harder to get.
The main caveat is that the crash-test picture is not spotless, so you should treat a clean history and a thorough inspection as especially important.
Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.63% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.63/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 stands out for its wide range of personalities, from comfort-focused to sport-sedan sharp.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $11,558, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,661 average.
- It introduces Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology direction in a bold luxury sedan.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $13,431, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,661 average.
- It was improved to feel more credible as a luxury sports sedan.
The bottom line: The 2015 makes sense if you want the broadest mix of style, tech, and performance at a softened market price. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 is the better path if you want the updated feel and can stretch for it.
