How much does the 2015 Honda Civic cost?

Prices are up 2.14% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,341 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10. Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, user-friendly design, smooth ride, and spacious interior. That lines up well with its compact-economy mission in the overview: you get a practical, efficient, well-rounded car that works especially well for commuters and first-time buyers. 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary repeatedly points to reliability, and the expert test-drive summary reinforces that the Civic meets and exceeds expectations for reliability and value. The cost-effectiveness notes also emphasize that it is inexpensive to own and insure, with free roadside assistance included for three years or 36,000 miles. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about finding a well-kept example that hasn’t been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

At 48.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful pre-purchase inspection. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s equipment works as expected. Because some owners mention missing features compared with newer models, it also helps to confirm the exact equipment level before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX trims are the most affordable, while higher trims add features such as the touchscreen infotainment system, HondaLink connectivity, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels.
• Powertrain: Most Civics use a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 143 hp and a CVT that helps make merging and climbing grades feel easier.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a standard reversing camera, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims.
• Infotainment: Above LX, you get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink smartphone connectivity and services; the system works through your paired smartphone and supports apps, navigation, and Siri Eyes Free.
• Fuel efficiency: The Civic is described as delivering effortless fuel economy in the low 30-mpg range, and the EPA states 33 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, SE, EX Sedan, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the least expensive path into the Civic and the trim the cost-effectiveness notes point to as the best place to find a good lease deal. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience and tech features found higher up the range.
• SE: This trim sits above LX and is part of the group that does not get LaneWatch, so it is worth considering if you want a step up without chasing the most feature-rich versions. It can be a sensible middle ground if you want more than the base car but do not need the full EX equipment set.
• EX Sedan: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HondaLink connectivity and services, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels. It is the trim most clearly described as the one people actually buy.
• Civic Si: This is the performance-tuned version and the one described as the most fun to drive. If you care more about driving enjoyment than everyday value, this is the trim that stands apart.

LaneWatch is standard for all but the Civic LX and SE trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and be ready to move when you find the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.14% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 48.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,432, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,180 sits slightly above last year's $11,925.

That upward move suggests the Civic is holding demand well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A model that stays near the top of its recent range can be easier to move when you list it, especially when buyers are already familiar with its reputation for value and efficiency. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep interest steady in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a standard reversing camera, and HondaLink Assist is also included. LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims, giving higher trims an extra camera-based blind-spot aid on the passenger side. The main caveat is that LaneWatch is not a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, so you should make sure you are comfortable with how it works before relying on it.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.14% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 Civic delivers strong reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, and value in a well-rounded compact package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,932, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,180 average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price point suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,791, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,180 average.
• It brings a more polished, upscale feel while keeping the Civic’s thrift and dependability.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want a balanced Civic with strong value and broad appeal. If you are price-sensitive, the 2014 is the cheaper route; if you want a more refined feel and can spend more, the 2016 is the upgrade path.

How does the 2015 Honda Civic compare to the 2015 Toyota Corolla?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda Civic 8.7/10 and the 2015 Toyota Corolla 6.2/10. The Civic brings stronger overall expert approval, a more powerful engine, and a better-equipped used-market profile. The Corolla is cheaper on average and slightly more efficient on the highway, but the Civic offers more listings and a stronger blend of value, performance, and owner satisfaction.
