Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Accord stands out as a midsize sedan that is exceptionally well-engineered and built to provide dependable service for many years. It has a reputation for winning the test of time, and its broad appeal comes from doing the basics especially well rather than chasing gimmicks.
That well-rounded character is a big part of why the Accord has been such a strong family sedan. The available test-drive summary describes it as excelling at everything it is asked to do and calls it an excellent choice among midsize sedans. Owner feedback reinforces that appeal, with drivers frequently praising its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency.
There are a few caveats in the user feedback, though. Some owners mention cleanliness issues upon purchase and concerns about specific features such as the sound system, so shoppers may want to pay attention to the condition and equipment of any individual example. Even so, the 2015 Honda Accord’s core strengths make it easy to understand why it remains so well regarded.

I love the interior and exterior design of the car and the added amenities such as the feature that allows me to start the car from inside. I feel that it’s an economy little luxury car. The only other thing that I would want would be a sunroof top.

I really think this is a good car. It has ample amount of power. Its very well defined and rides really smooth. I think the gas mileage is very well adjusted in comparison to other v6s.

How much does the 2015 Honda Accord cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $13,386 |
| Year-Round Low | $12,722.86 |
| Year-Round High | $13,543.13 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $13,396 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −0.08% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 2,002 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability. If you find a listing below $12,722.86, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Honda Accord a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Honda Accord earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.
Drivers repeatedly praise its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency. The model also comes through as a strong value for the price, with many owners calling it a good fit for families or new drivers.
That lines up with the Accord’s broad appeal as a well-rounded midsize sedan that does the basics especially well rather than chasing gimmicks. In market terms, 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the expert review describes the Accord as a car that will likely provide dependable service day in and day out for many years. The cost-effectiveness commentary also says it is quite reliable and holds its value over time.
The expert review adds that the Accord’s engineering and calibration are competent across everyday driving, which supports the case for dependable ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core car and more about how well a specific example has been maintained and equipped.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?
At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, repairs, and signs of inconsistent wear. Because owner feedback mentions cleanliness issues upon purchase and concerns about specific features, condition matters as much as mileage.
Pay close attention to how the car was equipped, since some desirable features are tied to higher trims rather than being easy add-ons. If you want a specific comfort, tech, or safety feature, make sure the individual car actually has it.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base LX includes dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, Internet radio access, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 16-inch alloy wheels, but it does not include the more advanced upgrades found higher up the range.
- Powertrain: You can choose between a 4-cylinder and a V6 gasoline engine, or between a gas-electric and a plug-in gas-electric engine. The 4-cylinder is smooth and refined, while the V6 is the stronger choice for quicker acceleration.
- Safety package: LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are tied to higher trims, and the Sport cannot get them. A rear-view camera is standard on every Accord.
- Infotainment: The Sport uses an 8-inch display screen with Bluetooth, USB, and an auxiliary input jack. Satellite radio, HondaLink services with Aha connectivity, navigation, and adaptive cruise control require higher trims.
- Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder test car returned around 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, with a city-heavy average of 26.8 mpg. The Accord Hybrid is noted for 50 mpg city fuel economy.
Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LX is the value play, but it lacks the more advanced driver-assistance and infotainment upgrades reserved for higher trims.
- Sweet-spot trim: The EX adds keyless entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, upgraded audio, and 17-inch wheels.
- Premium/top trim: The EX-L brings leather upholstery, heated front seats, a touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink, satellite radio, and available navigation.
- Off-road trim: None of the trims is positioned as an off-road choice.
The safety-package note is simple: if you want the best safety equipment Honda offers for this car, you need to move beyond the LX or Sport.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?
This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully without expecting huge discounts everywhere.
- Deal availability: 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 2,002 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 46.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $12,722.86, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $13,386 sits slightly below last year's $13,396.
That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is generally helpful if you plan to resell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate future value and avoid buying into a sharply inflated market.
The Accord’s reputation for reliability and strong owner satisfaction also supports demand on the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?
It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system, lane-departure warning system, and forward-collision warning system are available only on higher trims, and the Sport cannot get them. A rear-view camera is standard on every 2015 Accord.
The expert review also notes that Honda’s packaging strategy limits access to some of the best safety equipment unless you move up the trim ladder. That means you should verify the exact safety content on any used example rather than assuming it has the features you want.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 46% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 Accord is exceptionally well-engineered and built for dependable service.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $12,046, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,386 average.
- It feels more upscale than its price suggests.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $14,457, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,386 average.
- It adds improvements while aiming to reduce surprise expenses.
The bottom line: The 2015 Accord is the right pick if you want a well-rounded, highly rated used sedan with stable pricing and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less, the 2014 is the value alternative; if you want a newer version and can pay more, the 2016 is the upgrade path.
