How much does the 2015 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 588 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spaciousness, comfort, and practical features, and the Yukon XL’s full-size layout makes it especially appealing if you need room for passengers and cargo. The overview also shows that it’s aimed at buyers who want a large SUV with a traditional truck-based feel and a more premium personality in higher trims. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners highlighting comfort and practicality alongside the vehicle’s everyday usability. That kind of feedback suggests you’re looking at a model that many drivers feel good about keeping for the long haul, even if fuel economy is a common complaint.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about satisfaction and more about condition, maintenance history, and how the vehicle was used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 GMC Yukon XL?

At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large SUV where wear can show up in suspension, brakes, and interior condition. Focus on overall maintenance records, signs of heavy family or towing use, and whether the vehicle’s comfort and convenience features still work properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 588 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $15,644 sits slightly below last year's $17,990.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may be more limited than it was a year ago, so condition and trim choice matter even more. Well-kept examples with desirable features should still hold attention better than rougher ones, especially in a segment where buyers value space and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,306, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $15,644 average.
• It adds Apple CarPlay and updated convenience and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is high. If you’re willing to spend more for newer tech and added convenience, the 2016 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize features over price.
