At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. If you’re comparing multiple cars, focus on the ones with clean records, consistent maintenance, and fewer signs of heavy wear.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Fusion’s styling and feature set vary meaningfully by trim, and the base setup can leave out some of the more desirable convenience and tech equipment.
• Powertrain: You can shop versions with a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine and a 6-speed automatic, and the car is also offered with all-wheel drive for added traction.
• Safety package: Available features include a reversing camera, blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and inflatable rear seat belts.
• Infotainment: The MyFord Touch system can be slow and distracting to use, so make sure the screen, controls, and smartphone pairing work the way you want them to.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. Strong demand for a stylish, well-equipped sedan can also help support buyer interest later.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines distinctive styling with strong handling, a spacious cabin, and a broad feature set.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $7,721, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $8,314 average.
• It feels agile and modern, with a fresh post-redesign character.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall shopping case, the 2015 is the better target because it pairs a lower-than-last-year price trend with strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the better value play, especially if you find one with a clean history and good condition.
