How much does the 2015 Cadillac CTS cost?

Prices have softened 7.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 314 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Cadillac CTS earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, smooth ride, high-quality interior, and impressive technology. The CTS also fits buyers who want a luxury sedan with a more athletic edge, and the overview highlights a car that feels carefully executed and distinctly sporty.

With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that can feel dependable and trouble-free for many owners, with praise centered on its overall driving experience and quality feel. At the same time, some drivers report reliability concerns, especially with the sunroof and engine performance.

The expert review also notes that Cadillac’s CUE technology appears to affect how owners rate quality and reliability, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to own the car for the long haul. For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how well the electronics and powertrain have held up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of prior body damage, uneven panel gaps, and any evidence that repairs were made after a collision.

Because owner feedback mentions sunroof and engine-performance concerns, it also makes sense to test those systems carefully during your inspection and road test.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version lacks leather upholstery, a split-folding rear seat, a reversing camera, and even a decent set of wheels, so you should compare equipment carefully before settling on a lower trim.
• Powertrain: The Vsport uses a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 with 420 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive; it also returns an official combined rating of 18 mpg.
• Safety package: The Driver Awareness Package is standard on all models except the base version and includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package requires Premium trim and adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening.
• Infotainment: Cadillac’s CUE system is the main interface, and the review notes that it relies on touch-based controls rather than knobs and buttons.
• Fuel efficiency: The Vsport returned 17.8 mpg in testing and carries an official combined rating of 18 mpg.

Which 2015 Cadillac CTS trim should I buy?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS is offered in 1 trim level: Vsport.

Here's the short version:

The Vsport is the standout choice if you want the CTS at its most compelling. It adds the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6, the 8-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive, an electronic locking rear differential, performance brakes with 4-piston front calipers, and a performance-tuned Magnetic Ride Control suspension. The review makes clear that this is the trim for driving enthusiasts, and it is the best-value pick if you want the CTS’s strongest performance character.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the Driver Awareness Package is standard on all models except the base version, while the Driver Assist Package requires Premium trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 314 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,969, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Cadillac CTS's resale value?

The current average of $12,433 sits slightly below last year's $13,371.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can work against you if you buy at the wrong price and plan to resell soon. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help reduce your future depreciation exposure if you buy carefully.

The CTS’s value story is also shaped by its mixed ownership reputation, since buyers tend to reward cars that feel special but still hold up well over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS safe?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Good rating from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac’s Driver Awareness Package includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening, but it requires Premium trim.

One caveat is that the CTS has not been subjected to the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact crash test, so you should keep that in mind when comparing it with rivals.

Should I buy a 2015 Cadillac CTS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 CTS stands out as a carefully executed, distinctly sporty midsize luxury sedan with racetrack-worthy Vsport capability.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,142, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,433 average.
• It brings a more refined, more high-tech feel with key updates over the prior year.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-priced entry point and the strongest current market softness, the 2015 is the better buy to target first. If you can spend more for a slightly newer version with a more contemporary feel, the 2016 is the better secondary path.
