How much does the 2015 Cadillac CTS cost?

Prices have softened 4.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 310 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Cadillac CTS earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, smooth ride, high-quality interior, and impressive technology. In use-case terms, that makes it appealing if you want a midsize luxury sport sedan that feels distinctive and polished rather than anonymous.

There are 28.7% good or great deals in the market, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that many owners enjoy for the long haul, with recurring praise for its overall driving experience and premium feel. At the same time, some owners mention reliability concerns, especially around the sunroof and engine performance.

The expert review also notes that Cadillac’s CUE technology appears to affect how owners rate quality and reliability, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to own the car for several years.

For used buyers, that means you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any signs of electrical or mechanical trouble before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

At 54.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a prior collision. Focus on body alignment, panel gaps, tire wear, and any signs that repairs were not completed cleanly.

Because this model also has owner-reported concerns around the sunroof and engine performance, it makes sense to test those systems carefully during your inspection and test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version skips leather upholstery, a split-folding rear seat, a reversing camera, and a decent set of wheels, while Premium trim adds the Driver Assist Package.
• Powertrain: The Vsport uses a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 with 420 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, an 8-speed automatic, rear-wheel drive, and selectable Tour, Sport, Track, and Snow/Ice modes.
• Safety package: The Driver Awareness Package is standard on all models except the base version and includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening, and it comes standard on Premium trim.
• Infotainment: Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system is described as improving, but it still relies on touch-based controls that can be distracting and fingerprint-prone.

Which 2015 Cadillac CTS trim should I buy?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS is offered in 2 trim levels: base and Premium.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the least expensive way into the CTS, but it leaves out several expected luxury and convenience items, including leather upholstery, a split-folding rear seat, a reversing camera, and a decent set of wheels. It makes sense only if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the stripped-down equipment.
• Premium: This is the best-value choice because it unlocks the Driver Assist Package, which adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening. If safety tech matters to you, this is the trim to target.

The Driver Awareness Package is standard on all models except the base version, while the Driver Assist Package comes standard on Premium trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Cadillac CTS?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 310 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,970, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Cadillac CTS's resale value?

The current average of $12,554 sits slightly below last year's $13,143.

That downward move suggests the CTS has been losing value rather than holding it firmly, which matters if you plan to resell in a few years. The current pricing also reflects a market that is still adjusting to the car’s higher-end positioning and ownership costs.

For a future seller, that means condition and equipment will matter a lot. A well-kept example with desirable features should be easier to move than one with visible wear or incomplete service records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Cadillac CTS safe?

The 2015 Cadillac CTS earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Good rating from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac’s Driver Awareness Package is the main safety suite here, and it includes a reversing camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and forward-collision warning. The Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic front and rear braking, and automatic collision-preparation technology with automatic seatbelt tightening, and it comes standard on Premium trim.

One caveat is that the CTS has not been subjected to the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact crash test, so you should weigh that gap when comparing it with rivals.

Should I buy a 2015 Cadillac CTS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 CTS is praised for its distinctive design, smooth ride, high-quality interior, and strong technology.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,202, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,554 average.
• It is largely carried over, but gets a few key updates that make it more powerful and more tech-savvy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is available. If you can stretch for the next model year, the 2016 is the better pick for shoppers who want the incremental updates and are comfortable paying more.
