CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Buick Enclave

Summary
With 37 currently listed for sale near Los Angeles, CA and an average price of $6,708.00, 29.7% of 2015 Buick Enclaves for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Buick Enclave 4.83 / 5 stars.
67.6% of 2015 Enclave models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Buick Enclave stands out as a family-focused three-row SUV that aims for a more upscale feel than many rivals. It offers seating for up to seven, with an optional second-row bench seat, and its car-based construction helps give it more car-like driving dynamics than a traditional truck-based SUV. That combination makes it appealing to buyers who want space for people and cargo without giving up a smoother, more refined driving experience.
For 2015, the Enclave’s appeal also comes from the equipment it carried over from its generation’s updates. It had a 275hp V6 engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, standard front-wheel drive, and available all-wheel drive. The cabin was updated with a new dashboard, blue ambient lighting, and a touchscreen infotainment display, and it also added an industry-first front center airbag. Owners also commonly praise its comfort, spaciousness, premium interior feel, leather seats, and ambient lighting.
There are tradeoffs, though. The six-speed automatic was associated with complaints about hesitant downshifts in this generation, and the Enclave’s upscale positioning can make it feel expensive. Even so, the 2015 Buick Enclave remains distinctive for blending three-row practicality, a comfortable ride, and a more premium atmosphere than many used family SUVs in its class.

Reviewed a 2015 Buick Premium FWD on Jun 14, 2015
We shopped over a year, taking time since nothing was wrong with the car we were replacing, a 2010 Cadillac CTS. We wound up looking at two different "sets" of vehicles. The top three in the less expensive set were the Subaru Forester, the Honda Crosstour, and the Toyota Highlander. The top three we wound up picking from were the Buick we bought, the Cadillac SRX, and the Ford Explorer. Two reasons for trading. 1. My shot knees were making exit from the Cadillac painful, so I needed something higher. 2. We were interested in the new safety tech that has come along since our last purchase in 2010. We have not had the Enclave long enough to have an opinion on durability, but we've had zero problems and the dealer will service it for free for two years, so we don't even pay for oil. We rejected the Ford because of the awful Consumer Reports frequency of repair ratings combined with a warranty inferior to the Buick and the Cadillac. (FYI: I did not fit in a Lexus or Accura. Mercedes and BMW required purchase of too much we did not want to get the tech we wanted.) The exit problem was solved in all three of the top contenders. The Cadillac handled best of the three, but the Buick is no slouch for its size. It hauls way more than the Cadillac and was slightly more comfortable to exit. While in them, comfort was a wash. We are right now on our first long road trip, Texas to Minnesota. The Enclave is producing about 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway on regular gas, slightly less than our CTS when hauling a lot more weight. Highway comfort is superb, as is handling. We are really getting spoiled by the blind spot radar, but I would not have this vehicle without it. The blind spot is huge. Of all the vehicles we shopped, only the Subaru did not offer this, but we still ranked the Subaru highly because it did not have a blind spot. I wish the anti-tailgating gizmo had a more sensitive setting. We have it on most sensitive and the green icon does not turn yellow soon enough for safety. When it gives you a collision alert, it does get your attention. Same thing with the back up version. I had not had the car a week when the back up device warned me of a dog that was not visible on the back up camera! I love how the icon in the outside review mirror goes bananas if you engage a turn signal when somebody is in your blind spot. Both of the reasons we bought this car are so far A plus. We have the tow package but have not used it yet. Will update this review if anything changes. This is fairly soon to be reviewing. I was waiting for a long road trip.

I was not originally looking to purchase a midsize SUV but after test driving this vehicle and researching its longevity, I opted to purchase this particular SUV. My overall verdict is still on hold until Ive owned this vehicle for awhile but thus far, I like it.

Great vehicle, many options and comfortable ride. Everyone that rides in the vehicle loves it and the leather interior. Plenty of cargo for my needs for a weekend or heading out to go fishing. Definitely would recommend the Buick Enclave for your vehicle of choice.

How much does the 2015 Buick Enclave cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $9,500 |
| Year-Round Low | $9,512.44 |
| Year-Round High | $10,515.20 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $10,478 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −9.33% |
Prices have softened 9.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 649 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
If you find a listing below $9,512.44, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Buick Enclave a good car?
Yes — the 4.83/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfort, spaciousness, and premium-feeling interior, and they also highlight the smooth ride and feature-rich cabin. That makes the Enclave a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row SUV with a more upscale feel and a relaxed driving character. With 27.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Buick Enclave reliable?
Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also emphasizes that the Enclave feels dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and quality coming through as recurring strengths. Comments about its smooth ride and premium interior suggest a vehicle many owners feel good about living with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been maintained well and checked carefully before you commit.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Buick Enclave?
At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of wear, repair quality, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, since a well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Buick Enclave?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value if you move on the right listing.
- Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 649 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.33% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 58.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $9,512.44, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Buick Enclave's resale value?
The current average of $9,500 sits slightly below last year's $10,478.
That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable point but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. A clean history and solid maintenance record matter more when the market is already pricing the model below last year’s level.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 58.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.33% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $8,614, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $9,500 average.
- It offers a value-minded, relaxed family-hauler feel.
The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall market position, the 2015 is the better place to start because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent deal availability. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2014 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
