How much does the 2015 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 6.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 920 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series a good car?

Generally — the 2015 BMW 5 Series earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the entertaining ride quality, robust power, and luxurious interior, and many also like the feature set and the way the car feels in different driving modes. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want a premium midsize sedan that blends performance with comfort and a polished cabin. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 BMW 5 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights some reliability concerns, including shaking and smoke during startup, even though many owners describe the car as dependable in day-to-day use. That means you should treat condition and maintenance history as especially important if you want to count on the car for the long haul. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a neglected example could bring more repair uncertainty than the average luxury sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if the car shows signs of startup issues, uneven running, or other mechanical concerns. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and evidence that the car has been cared for consistently rather than just chasing the lowest price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 920 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,013, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $11,013 sits slightly below last year's $11,797.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation because the model is competing in a price-sensitive used market. Well-kept examples should still attract interest, but you should expect buyers to compare carefully against similarly priced luxury sedans.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want a well-equipped luxury sedan with strong owner approval and a softer used-car price than last year. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2015 remains the better choice when you want a balance of value, features, and buyer demand.
