Why it stands out
The 2014 Toyota 4Runner remains a standout choice in the crowded SUV market for its robust traditional body-on-frame construction, which is increasingly rare in today's crossover-dominated landscape. It offers the rugged versatility required for both off-road adventures and comfortable on-road driving. Buyers will appreciate the 4Runner’s ability to provide ample cargo space—up to 89.7 cubic feet—compartmentalized with thoughtful storage solutions. While some may find the interior controls a bit tricky to use at times, features like a powerful rear window and advanced off-roading technologies, such as Crawl Control, elevate the driving experience. Moreover, its resale value tends to hold strong due to both the Toyota brand's reliability and the loyal following of outdoor enthusiasts who often prefer it over more generic crossover options. With its impressive expert rating of 8.17, it blends practicality with adventure, making it ideal for those who enjoy a rugged lifestyle without compromising everyday usability.

Great vehicle overall. Very solid drivetrain. I wouldn’t compare it to much. I own a 2006 with 320k and running strong.

I love this car, i've just decided i need something a little smaller for my family. We had plenty of space on our family vacation and got great gas mileage on the highway (24MPG). Only thing i wish it had was a power lift gate.

It’s a comfortable vehicle. I like all the features it comes with. It rides smoothly. I’m so happy with the heated seats. I don’t care for the moonroof but it wasn’t a feature that made me not want to buy this model.
