How much does the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 2.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 955 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Drivers repeatedly praise its comfort, its performance in snow, and its user-friendly features, and they also like how well it fits road trips and city driving. The Crosstrek’s compact size and all-wheel-drive setup make it especially appealing if you want a practical daily driver with extra traction and utility. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities.

Is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights dependable all-weather performance, comfort, and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value the Crosstrek’s straightforward usefulness. The recurring praise for its snow capability and user-friendly features also suggests that it tends to meet expectations over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a vehicle with hidden history or wear, so condition and records matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage affected the frame, airbags, or title status. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, signs of repair quality, and whether the car still feels tight and well maintained. Because some owners mention concerns about salvage-title pricing, you should pay close attention to value relative to condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 955 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,132, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $10,132 sits slightly below last year's $10,432.

That softer pricing suggests the Crosstrek has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. Because the model still draws interest from buyers who want all-wheel drive, practicality, and snow-friendly capability, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. Strong condition and clean history will matter most if you want to protect your resale position.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2014 if you want a used Crosstrek with proven owner satisfaction and a softer price point. If you are especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby model years to see whether a newer example offers meaningfully better equipment or condition for only a small premium.
