How much does the 2014 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 5.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,176 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of trucks to compare.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.51/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, excellent ride quality, and spacious interior, and many also like the features and comforts it offers for the price. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size pickup that feels more refined on the road while still covering everyday truck duties. 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.51/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a truck that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free enough to recommend, especially when you factor in its strong value and comfort. At the same time, some owners mention mechanical issues, so used buyers should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition before committing to a long-term purchase.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 RAM 1500?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, signs of past collision repair, and how the truck drives and shifts under load. Because some owners mention mechanical issues, a thorough pre-purchase inspection is especially worthwhile.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every truck to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,176 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,819, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $14,821 sits slightly below last year's $15,717.

That softer pricing suggests the truck has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position when it comes time to sell. Trucks with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction tend to hold buyer interest better than similar vehicles with weaker reputations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.51/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.51/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,911, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,821 average.
• It adds a more polished and attention-getting look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is solid. If you're willing to spend more for a newer nearby year, the 2015 is the better secondary path for buyers who want a slightly more refined overall package.
