Is the 2014 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Porsche Cayenne earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance and handling, and many describe it as a joy to drive. Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes dependable ownership, with reviews highlighting the Cayenne’s trouble-free feel and strong overall experience. That lines up with the model’s reputation for sturdy construction and long-term confidence among buyers. For used shoppers, the main ownership risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained properly over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Porsche Cayenne?

At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the suspension, brakes, and other high-wear systems that matter on a performance-oriented SUV. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 311 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,789, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $15,798 sits slightly below last year's $16,775.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A softer current market can limit short-term upside, but it can also make a well-kept example easier to position competitively if you maintain it carefully. Strong condition, clean history, and documented service will matter more when you go to resell than simply waiting for the market to move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Cayenne’s blend of performance, refinement, and everyday utility, the 2014 is a strong choice, especially if you find a clean, well-maintained example with a solid history. If you’re more price-sensitive, nearby years may be worth comparing, but the 2014 still stands out when you want a sporty luxury SUV that owners clearly enjoy.
