Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan Titan stands out as a full-size truck that brought a standard V8, a quiet cabin, and accessible tech to a segment where Nissan never matched the configurability of its bigger rivals. It was also known for its off-road ability and comfortable interior, and it offered features such as Bluetooth phone connectivity, air conditioning, and a back-up camera before those items were common on trucks. For buyers who wanted a used full-size pickup with a more distinctive personality, the Titan’s combination of capability and everyday comfort gave it a clear identity.
What made the 2014 model especially appealing was the way it balanced utility with thoughtful equipment. The Titan offered the Utili-Track-channel system and in-bed cargo boxes for better load management, and the first-generation truck also had an off-road package with Rancho performance gas shocks, BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires, skid plates, fog lamps, and tow hooks. At the same time, it was limited to two cab configurations and one powertrain, and its poor fuel economy, lack of configurability, and plasticky interior materials were real drawbacks. Still, for shoppers who value a straightforward V8 truck with useful features and a decent reputation for reliability, the 2014 Nissan Titan remains distinctive.

like the truck very much. It's my 4th one. great towing truck. large cabin, very comfortable, fuel mpg good for a truck even while towing 24 ft inclosed trailer. I like the bright red color but they don't offer it every year.

How much does the 2014 Nissan Titan cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,771 |
| Year-Round Low | $14,056 |
| Year-Round High | $15,431 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $14,714 |
| Change vs. Last Year | +0.39% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 198 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan a good car?
Yes — the 2014 Nissan Titan earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The Titan stands out as a full-size truck with a standard V8, a quiet cabin, and accessible tech, so you get a straightforward pickup with everyday comfort and useful capability. It also offers off-road ability and thoughtful equipment that help it feel more distinctive than many rivals. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to find a competitive price.
Is the 2014 Nissan Titan reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Titan’s overview points to a decent reputation for reliability, along with a simple, no-nonsense formula that can be appealing if you want a used full-size truck without a lot of complexity. Its standard V8 and straightforward setup may also make ownership feel more predictable than with more heavily optioned alternatives. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is finding a truck that has been worn down by age, mileage, or hard use rather than one that has a built-in reliability flaw.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, off-road driving, or heavy work. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin and bed, and whether the truck’s equipment still works as expected.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Titan?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 198 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 60.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $14,056, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan Titan's resale value?
The current average of $14,771 sits slightly above last year's $14,714.
That small increase suggests the Titan has held its value fairly steadily, which is a good sign if you plan to resell later. A stable price trend usually means the market is not swinging sharply against you, so a well-kept truck can remain appealing to future buyers. The Titan’s distinctive character and standard V8 help it stand out in a crowded segment, which can support demand when you decide to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used full-size truck with a standard V8, a comfortable cabin, and a distinctive personality, the 2014 Titan is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully within this year and focus on the cleanest, best-documented examples rather than moving to a different model year right away.
