How much does the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 8.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 638 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for this model year. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, powerful performance, and useful features, and the Pathfinder’s family-focused three-row layout makes it appealing if you want everyday practicality with room for passengers and cargo. The tradeoff is that some owners call out CVT concerns and an interior that can feel dated, so it fits you best if comfort, space, and versatility matter more than a sporty driving feel. With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable for travel and family use, but the same reviews also highlight transmission concerns that can affect confidence over time. If you’re buying used, the long-term ownership risk is tied less to the platform itself and more to how well the CVT has been maintained and how it behaves on a test drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the transmission, since that’s the area most likely to affect ownership confidence. You should also pay close attention to overall condition, especially signs of hard use, uneven wear, or cosmetic issues that could hint at deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $8,009, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $8,024 sits slightly below last year's $8,769.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than broad market appreciation. If you keep the vehicle well documented and avoid known problem areas, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 Pathfinder makes sense if you want a roomy, family-friendly SUV at a lower used price and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and maintenance history. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and prioritize the cleanest, best-documented example rather than focusing only on model year.
