Used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearDes Moines, IA

How much does the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 8.11% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 630 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction overall. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, powerful performance, and useful features, and the overview frames it as a family-focused three-row SUV with strong everyday versatility and a comfort-first design. That said, the same owner feedback also highlights transmission concerns, so it fits you best if you want room and practicality and are willing to shop carefully. With 27.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to find a favorable price.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback repeatedly points to dependable family use, comfortable travel, and a vehicle many people feel good about keeping for the long term. At the same time, the same reviews also call out CVT concerns, so reliability depends heavily on how well a specific example has been maintained and driven. For used buyers, that means your long-term ownership risk is tied less to the badge and more to the condition and service history of the transmission.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with accident or title issues. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the transmission, since the model’s CVT concerns make drivability and maintenance records especially important. You should also pay close attention to overall condition, including signs of wear, cosmetic damage, and whether the vehicle feels smooth during acceleration and at highway speeds.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 630 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,008, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $8,012 sits slightly below last year's $8,719.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re a future seller, the current trend means you’ll want to protect value by choosing a clean, well-documented example and avoiding vehicles with questionable history. Strong condition and a good maintenance record matter more when the market is already leaning downward.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2014 Pathfinder makes sense if you want a roomy, family-friendly three-row SUV and you’re willing to be selective about condition and maintenance history. If your priority is the best value, this year can work well because pricing has eased and deal availability is decent. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than simply the cheapest one.
