CarGurus Analysis: 2014 Nissan Juke
overall

Summary
With 360 currently listed for sale and an average price of $7,675, 28.1% of 2014 Nissan Jukes for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Nissan Juke 4.29 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.
58.6% of 2014 Juke models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan Juke stands out first and foremost for its unconventional styling. It has been turning heads since it debuted in 2010, and its lines and proportions give it a look that feels more like an artist’s sketch than a typical small crossover. That distinctive appearance is a big part of its appeal, especially for buyers who want something with personality rather than a conventional shape.
Beyond the styling, the Juke’s personality is defined by engaging performance and a fun driving experience. It is also positioned as a budget-priced choice, which adds to its appeal for shoppers looking for something affordable with a sporty feel. Owners commonly praise its responsive handling and compact size, along with the driving modes, which reinforce its lively character.
The tradeoffs are just as clear. The Juke is hampered by poor cargo capacity and disappointing fuel economy, and owners also note limited cargo space for families and road noise. That mix of strong character and practical compromises makes the 2014 Nissan Juke distinctive, but it also means it is best suited to buyers who value style and driving enjoyment over everyday utility.

Pretty decent car for the value. I have a 2014 Nissan Juke SV with the manual transmission. (Avoid the automatic version of these Nissan at all cost) It actually is decently equipped, it comes with powered windows, powered locks, a sunroof, driver's seat adjustment is electrically powered, comes with Eco and Sport mode as well as traction control and hand free Bluetooth for phone calls. The Push Button Start feature makes it very easy to just get near the car and unlock/lock it and starting it without ever having to reach for your keys. The only things I wish my Juke had was a backup camera. It being a small 1.6 4 cylinder engine means I can easily get an average of 33.3 MPG mostly on city and little highway. It being the size it is means you can very easily park almost easily, and it's short wheelbase ensures you can easily glide through the narrowrests of streets in urban tight cities. Something to keep in mind is that this car is definitely more for the City than it is a highway cruiser, so if you mainly do City driving.. this car is definitely one to keep in mind. :) I do sometimes wish you could get the fully loaded SL that included AWD, Navigation, Leather Seats without being forced to get the CVT variant. While having an Aux Input is nice.. having a Bluetooth Sound System is always better. ;) If you are in the market for a Renault Duster or a Hyundai Tucson.. consider the Juke as a nice alternative. :)

| Year-Round Low | $7,367 |
| Year-Round High | $8,479 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $8,214 |

Is the 2014 Nissan Juke a good car?
Generally — 4.29/5 from owners and 7.17/10 from our experts point to a model that resonates with shoppers who value personality. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.
Owners consistently praise the unique styling, fun driving experience, compact size, responsive handling, and sporty driving modes. That lines up with the Juke’s use case as an affordable small crossover for you if you want something distinctive rather than conventional.
Only 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you may need to shop selectively to find the best value.
Is the 2014 Nissan Juke reliable?
Owners rate it 4.29/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with recurring praise for the Juke’s fun, trouble-free character and the sense that it’s a vehicle you can count on for everyday use. The expert drive notes reinforce that impression by highlighting the Juke’s strong performance and the way it motivates well in stock form.
If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about choosing a neglected example that has been driven hard or poorly maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Juke?
At 58.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a lower-priced listing. Pay close attention to body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s equipment and driving feel match the seller’s description.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base S trim keeps things simple with keyless entry, full power, Bluetooth, and a 6-speaker stereo, while the SV adds push-button start, satellite radio, and the I-CON system for climate and drive modes. The SL adds heated seats and automatic head- and foglights, and the Navigation Package adds a 5.8-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, a rear-view camera, and real-time traffic monitoring.
- Powertrain: The Juke uses a 188-hp, 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 177 lb-ft of torque, and you can get either a CVT or a 6-speed manual. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are both part of the mix, but the manual is front-wheel drive only.
- Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints. The Juke also offers the Navigation Package with a rear-view camera, but that feature is not standard on every trim.
- Infotainment: The Navigation Package brings a 5.8-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, and a rear-view camera, while the upgraded audio system adds USB connectivity and a Rockford Fosgate setup.
- Fuel efficiency: The Juke is rated at 25 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, though real-world results can fall well short of that.
Which 2014 Nissan Juke trim should I buy?
The 2014 Nissan Juke is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and NISMO RS.
Here's the short version:
- S: This is the simplest way into the Juke, but it still gives you keyless entry, full power, Bluetooth, and a 6-speaker stereo. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost entry point and can live without the convenience upgrades.
- SV: This trim adds push-button start, satellite radio, and the I-CON system for climate and drive modes, making it the best-value choice for many shoppers.
- SL: This one adds heated seats and automatic head- and foglights, so it suits you if comfort and convenience matter more than keeping the price down.
- NISMO RS: This is the most performance-focused version, with 215 hp, a sport suspension, larger vented brake rotors, shortened gearing for the first three cogs, a helical limited-slip front differential, and Recaro race buckets.
The safety package includes standard airbags, antilock brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints across the lineup.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Juke?

- Clean inventory: 58.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $7,367, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan Juke's resale value?
The current average of $7,738 sits slightly below last year's $8,214.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to move the car quickly. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.29/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2014 Nissan Juke safe?
The 2014 Nissan Juke earns Good ratings from IIHS and four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints. The Juke’s main safety caveat is its three-star frontal-impact result, which is weaker than the rest of its crash-test performance.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Juke or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 58.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.79% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.29/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- The 2014 combines distinctive styling with engaging performance and budget-friendly pricing.
Consider the 2015 if:
- At $8,731, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $7,738 average.
- It keeps the same unconventional personality but adds a sharper warning about safety and space compromises.
The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is available. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer example, the 2015 is the secondary path, but you should expect to pay up for it.
