How much does the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Prices are up 2.82% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 131 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class a good car?

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class blends old-school military hardware with genuine luxury and serious off-road ability. By this point in its life, it still kept the boxy shape and rugged character that made it famous, while adding a refreshed cabin, an iPad-like infotainment screen, internet connectivity, and driver-assist features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and collision avoidance systems.

That mix makes it appealing if you want a vehicle that feels special every time you see it and one that can still venture far off the beaten path. It also has the kind of brute strength and unmistakable styling that helped build its strong following.

With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop carefully if you want to balance desirability with value.

Is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class reliable?

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is described as expensive to buy and expensive to keep, with poor fuel economy and upkeep that is not cheap. The overview also notes that later G-Class models are generally more reliable than earlier ones.

For a used buyer, that means long-term ownership risk is still something you should plan for, especially if you want a truck that can be costly to maintain.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage lines up with the seller’s story and the service records. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially on a vehicle with this kind of complexity and premium ownership cost. Focus on overall condition, because the right example is likely to matter more than chasing the lowest sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find a strong example.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 131 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.82% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 51.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,813, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class's resale value?

The current average of $52,326 sits slightly above last year's $50,889.

That upward move suggests the market has stayed firm for this model year. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may have a better shot at holding value than if you overpay for a rough example. For a future seller, the key will be condition, history, and how well the truck has been maintained.

Should I buy a 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.82% year-over-year.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a strong choice if you want the classic G-Class look and feel with a refreshed cabin and modern convenience features. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than the newest badge.
