Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. Owners commonly praised its stylish alternative to more common luxury sedans, along with its impressive handling and powerful engine sound. Some also described it as a capable family sedan with enough power to satisfy most drivers. With 27.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a mix of confidence and caution: some drivers described the car as dependable and enjoyable over time, while others raised concerns about reliability issues, including engine problems and failed sensors. That means you should treat long-term ownership risk as a real factor and focus on maintenance history before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Maserati Ghibli?

At 67.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on mechanical condition, especially the engine, sensors, and transmission behavior, since owner feedback mentions those areas. You should also pay close attention to how the car drives and shifts, because some reviewers noted shifter concerns.

What is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli's resale value?

The current average of $14,323 sits slightly below last year's $15,098.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help limit near-term downside if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, that means your best protection is buying well and keeping the car in strong condition. Listings with cleaner histories and better maintenance records should be easier to move later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Maserati Ghibli or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want this model year, the 2014 makes sense when you can verify condition, confirm a clean service history, and take advantage of the softer pricing. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep shopping within the broader year range and compare listings carefully, since the market gives you enough inventory to be selective.
