Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Maserati Ghibli earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Reviewers repeatedly praised its stylish alternative to more common luxury sedans, its impressive handling, and its powerful engine sound. Some also liked it as a family sedan with enough power to satisfy most drivers. With 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to dependable day-to-day appeal for some drivers, with praise for the car’s overall character and performance. At the same time, some reviews mention reliability concerns, including engine problems, failed sensors, and shifter issues, so you should approach used ownership with a careful inspection mindset.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk can vary a lot by individual car, so condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Maserati Ghibli?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for engine, sensor, and transmission-related concerns. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since those details can make a bigger difference than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Maserati Ghibli?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 149 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,995, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli's resale value?

The current average of $14,082 sits slightly below last year's $15,144.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make future resale gains harder to count on if you buy at the wrong price. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is to buy well, keep the car in strong condition, and preserve service records. A lower entry price today can help offset some depreciation pressure when you eventually move on.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Maserati Ghibli or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2014 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, decent deal availability, and positive owner feedback. If you are especially price-sensitive, a different year may be worth comparing, but the 2014 stands out as a reasonable starting point when you want a luxury sedan with some market softness behind it.
