Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Maserati Ghibli earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Reviewers commonly praised its stylish alternative to more common luxury sedans, its impressive handling, and its powerful engine sound. Some also liked it as a family sedan with enough power to satisfy most drivers. With 28.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a mix of confidence and caution: some drivers described it as dependable and enjoyable over the long term, while others raised concerns about reliability issues, including engine problems, failed sensors, and shifter difficulties. That means your ownership risk depends heavily on condition and maintenance history, so a careful pre-purchase check matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Maserati Ghibli?

At 68.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A thorough pre-purchase inspection should focus on mechanical condition, warning lights, and signs of neglected maintenance. Because some owners reported engine and sensor issues, pay extra attention to how the car starts, shifts, and drives under load.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Maserati Ghibli?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on condition and price.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What is the 2014 Maserati Ghibli's resale value?

The current average of $14,479 sits slightly below last year's $15,236.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also suggests future resale gains may be limited unless the car is especially clean and well maintained. If you plan to sell later, condition and documented service history will matter a lot because buyers tend to favor examples that feel lower risk. A well-kept car should hold up better than one with a questionable history or visible wear.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Maserati Ghibli or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want this model year, the 2014 makes sense when you find a clean example with strong records and a price near the lower end of the range. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep shopping and compare listings carefully, because the market still offers enough inventory to let you wait for a better deal.
