overall

Summary
With 305 currently listed for sale and an average price of $11,451, 26.2% of 2014 INFINITI Q50s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 INFINITI Q50 4.78 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.5 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2014 INFINITI Q50 stands out as the car that brings Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology directions together in one aggressive luxury sedan. It arrives with the brand’s new Q naming from the start, and its angular headlights and prominent grille are described as the clearest expression of the Infiniti Essence concept to date. The result is a sedan meant to signal a fresh era for the brand while still aiming to feel distinctive and upscale.
It also leans heavily on technology, with the source emphasizing that the Q50 has more tech features than a U.S. Air Force communications AWACS. That abundance of equipment helps give the car a modern, well-equipped character, and the overall impression is of a sedan that combines looks, tech, and performance in a way meant to be especially compelling. Owners echo that appeal, often praising its sporty performance, precise handling, elegant interior design, and value as a luxury car.
There are some tradeoffs to keep in mind. Owner feedback points to tight rear seating, ride smoothness concerns, and potentially high repair costs. Even so, the 2014 INFINITI Q50’s blend of bold styling, strong feature content, and sporty character makes it a notable choice for buyers who want a luxury sedan with a more assertive personality.

Has lots of handy features, only missing one thing and that’s remote start. Not all models especially of that year come with it so not a big deal. It’s of great value compared to other cars.

Pros: Nice looking inside and out, great electric features, powerful engine, great acceleration and handling, 4 different drive modes: personal( a setting that you can set specifically for your liking) Eco, Sport, and Snow. Cons: back seating is a little tight(leg room), not the smoothest ride, as in you feel every bump on the road. expensive to fix the simplest of things.

|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $11,462 |
| Year-Round Low | $11,203 |
| Year-Round High | $11,968 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,935 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −3.96% |

There are 303 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 a good car?
Yes — the 2014 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.78/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.
Owners repeatedly praise its sporty performance, precise handling, and elegant interior design. The overview also points to its bold styling and strong feature content, which fit a luxury sedan aimed at buyers who want a more assertive personality. With 25.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback also points to a great-value luxury car that feels sporty, offers a range of features, and delivers a powerful engine with precise handling. The same feedback highlights dependable day-to-day appeal through its elegant interior design and overall value proposition.
The expert review reinforces that sense of confidence by describing the car as extremely competent and well suited to its role as a luxury sedan. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that repair costs can run high if you inherit a poorly maintained example.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 INFINITI Q50?
At 46.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on cars with prior damage or incomplete service records. Pay close attention to how the cabin, electronics, and ride quality feel in real use, since those are the areas most likely to affect ownership satisfaction. If a car has been modified or shows signs of deferred maintenance, move on unless the price clearly compensates for the risk.

- Safety package: The car includes a crash-predicting system, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning.
- Infotainment: The cabin uses dual touchscreens, with the top screen focused on navigation and the lower screen handling audio and climate controls. A dedicated control knob sits by the shifter, though the system can be slow to boot and has shown hiccups.
- Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is listed at 19 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined.
Which 2014 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?
The 2014 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Premium, Q50S, Q50S AWD.
Here's the short version:
- Base: This is the entry point, and it already gives you Bluetooth, dual digital control panels, an intelligent key system, satellite radio, and a reversing camera. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Q50’s styling and tech.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim because it adds heated front seats, a power moonroof, and a 14-speaker premium stereo without jumping all the way to the sport-focused models.
- Q50S: Choose this if you want the sport-tuned suspension, sport bucket seats, and sport brakes that give the car a more aggressive character.
- Q50S AWD: This is the pick if you want the Q50S equipment with all-wheel drive for added all-weather confidence.
The safety content highlights a crash-predicting system, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 INFINITI Q50?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should still move quickly on strong listings.
- Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 303 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.96% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 46.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,203, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 INFINITI Q50's resale value?
The current average of $11,462 sits slightly below last year's $11,935.
That decline suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. A softer price trend usually means future sellers need to compete more on condition, mileage, and service history. Well-kept examples should still stand out, but average-condition cars may face more pressure on asking price.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 safe?
The 2014 INFINITI Q50 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
It includes a crash-predicting system, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning. That gives you a broad set of driver-assistance and parking aids for the model year.
The main caveat is that the safety tech is a major part of the car’s appeal, so you should verify that every system works properly on any used example you consider.
Should I buy a 2014 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 46.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.96% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2014 introduces Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology direction in one aggressive luxury sedan.
Consider the 2015 if:
- At $12,942, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,462 average.
- It adds a broader range of personalities, from comfortable all-weather cruiser to fast sports sedan.
The bottom line: If you want the lower-priced entry point and the freshest expression of the Q50’s design and tech direction, the 2014 is the better buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a broader personality range, the 2015 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2014 and focus on condition and maintenance history.
