How much does the 2014 Honda Odyssey cost?

Prices have softened 6.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,245 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4.45/5 user-rated minivan with an 8.83/10 expert score. The model scores 10/10 across Technology and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, family-friendly features, automatic doors, and backup camera. The overview also frames it as a highly versatile family vehicle that works well in the city, suburbs, on the highway, and even when pushed harder than most minivans are.

That combination makes it especially appealing if you want a practical family hauler that feels complete rather than compromised. 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.45/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience built around a spacious cabin and family-friendly convenience, with the main complaints centered on acceleration and vibration at certain speeds rather than major durability concerns. The expert review also describes the Odyssey as cost-effective and notes that it is among the more fuel-efficient minivans on sale.

Honda’s performance notes reinforce that sense of durability, with the V6 and 6-speed automatic described as responsive, smooth, and able to handle steep grades without trouble. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that reliability and dependability predictions were only average, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Odyssey?

At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been in any collision or shows uneven wear. Focus on body condition, alignment, braking feel, and how the cabin electronics and sliding-door conveniences operate in real use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the most affordable trim, while the EX adds triple-zone automatic climate control, a 10-way power driver’s seat, power sliding side doors, keyless access with push-button start, a touchscreen audio system with HondaLink technology, Honda LaneWatch technology, a universal garage door opener, and second-row window sunshades. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power sunroof, a power tailgate, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning, while the Touring and Touring Elite add more luxury and convenience equipment. The base trim is the one most likely to feel lightest on features.
• Powertrain: All trims use a 248-hp, 3.5-liter V6 with Variable Cylinder Management and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The setup is tuned for smooth, responsive everyday driving and returns 19 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway.
• Safety package: Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure is standard, along with SmartVent side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, an expanded-view driver’s side mirror, LaneWatch, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. The Touring Elite adds a Blind Spot Information System.
• Infotainment: The LX includes Bluetooth calling and music streaming, hands-free text messaging, Pandora Internet radio, and a USB port. Higher trims add HondaLink, a touchscreen audio system, navigation, and rear-seat entertainment, with the Touring Elite adding an Ultrawide rear-seat entertainment screen with HDMI technology, HD Radio, and a premium Surround Sound audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is expected to return 19 mpg in the city and 28 on the highway, and the review notes a combined estimate of 22 mpg.

Which 2014 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Odyssey is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, Touring Elite.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience and tech features found higher up. It still gives you the core Odyssey experience, including Bluetooth, text messaging, Pandora, and a USB port.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a strong mix of everyday convenience features, including power sliding doors, push-button start, HondaLink, and a touchscreen audio system without jumping too far in price.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale family hauler, since it adds leather, heated front seats, a sunroof, a power tailgate, and key safety tech like Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning.
• Touring: This is the right pick if you want both navigation and rear-seat entertainment together, plus bigger wheels, fog lights, parking sensors, memory settings, and third-row sunshades.
• Touring Elite: This is the top-end choice for buyers who want the most equipment, including the ultrawide rear entertainment screen, premium audio, HD Radio, HID headlights, Blind Spot Information System, and HondaVAC.

The safety package is especially strong across the lineup, with the Touring Elite adding the Blind Spot Information System on top of the already robust standard equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Odyssey?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with patience and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,245 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,628, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $10,628 sits slightly below last year's $11,426.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through a meaningful portion of its depreciation curve, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting further value loss.

The Odyssey’s broad appeal as a family hauler also helps support demand, especially for shoppers who prioritize space and convenience over style. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.45/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2014 Honda Odyssey earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS, with the top rating of Good in every assessment, including the small overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s safety suite includes Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure, SmartVent side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, an expanded-view driver’s side mirror, LaneWatch, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. The Touring Elite trim adds a Blind Spot Information System.

That’s a strong safety story for a used family vehicle, and the standout caveat is that the most advanced blind-spot feature is reserved for the Touring Elite.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.45/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Honda’s safety and tech package is a major strength this year, with top expert scores in both categories.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,400, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $10,628 average.
• It adds more design flair while staying focused on family use.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2014 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong safety, tech, and owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model with a bit more visual polish, the 2015 is the secondary path to consider.
