How much does the 2014 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,298 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the roomy interior, good fuel economy, and reliability, and many also like the available AWD and backup camera features. For you, that makes the 2014 CR-V a sensible pick if you want a practical compact crossover focused on space, efficiency, and everyday usefulness. With 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback repeatedly highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, especially for buyers who value a long-lived daily driver. The same feedback also points to the CR-V’s practical strengths over time, including its spacious cabin and efficient operation. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure maintenance history is solid, especially around transmission care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda CR-V?

At 57.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put inspection priority on body condition, signs of repair quality, and any evidence of uneven wear that could point to past issues. Because owner feedback mentions transmission maintenance concerns, it is smart to focus on service records and overall mechanical condition before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,298 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,139, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $12,759 sits slightly above last year's $12,666.

That small increase suggests the CR-V has held value well enough to avoid a sharp drop in buyer interest. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to a market that remains familiar with the model’s strengths. If you keep mileage, condition, and maintenance records in good shape, you should be in a better position to attract shoppers later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,223, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $12,759 average.
• It adds a more polished driving feel and broader refinement.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2014 if you want the lower entry price and a proven, practical CR-V formula. If you can spend more and want a newer-feeling alternative, the 2015 is the better upgrade path.
