How much does the 2014 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,015 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Honda Accord earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 9.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, performance, smooth ride, and comfortable interior. That lines up with the Accord’s polished, well-executed feel and its strong value-for-the-money reputation.

For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a midsize sedan that feels more upscale than its price suggests while still covering everyday commuting and family use well. The market also shows 29.0% good and great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependability, and trouble-free ownership, with owners also describing it as a car that delivers strong value over time. The expert review adds that the Accord should prove better than average for long-term dependability and reliability.

The review also notes that the Accord is a volume seller, which can help keep ownership costs and parts support manageable. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure you avoid examples with neglected maintenance or transmission-related concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Honda Accord?

At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on condition details that matter most in daily use: interior wear, ride quality, electronics, and any signs of prior bodywork.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the least expensive path to ownership and is described as having everything you need and nothing you don’t, while the Sport adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a better sound system, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof. The EX-L adds leather seats, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system with touchscreen display, satellite radio, HondaLink connected services, a multi-angle reversing camera, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and LED brake lights. The Touring adds Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights. The best-value trim is the EX if you want the biggest jump in convenience and safety tech without moving all the way to the top.
• Powertrain: Most models use a 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with a CVT, while the LX, Sport, and EX trims also offer a 6-speed manual. The Sport version raises output to 189 hp with the same engine, and the EX-L and Touring can be equipped with a 278-hp, 3.5-liter V6 paired with a 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy ranges from 24 mpg city to 36 mpg highway depending on transmission choice.
• Safety package: The Accord includes SmartVent side impact airbags for the front seats, a reversing camera, and the Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure as standard equipment. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims. The base trims miss some of the more advanced driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: The LX and Sport cover the basics with Bluetooth, music streaming, and text messaging support. The EX adds a better sound system, while the EX-L adds a premium sound system with a touchscreen display, satellite radio, and HondaLink connected services. Navigation is available only as a factory option on the EX-L.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard 4-cylinder engine returns 24 mpg city and 36 mpg highway depending on transmission choice. The V6 is rated at 21 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, while the Sport test car returned 27.9 mpg in mixed driving.

Which 2014 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2014 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the essentials without extra frills. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost Accord and are comfortable skipping the convenience and safety upgrades found higher up the range.
• Sport: This trim adds a more aggressive look with 18-inch wheels, fog lights, a rear lip spoiler, a chrome exhaust finisher, and a 10-way power driver’s seat. It suits you if you want the sportiest appearance, but the ride is firmer and the wheel-and-tire setup can make it less forgiving.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a better sound system, LaneWatch, SmartEntry with push-button start, and a power sunroof. It gives you a strong mix of comfort, convenience, and safety without pushing into luxury pricing.
• EX-L: This is the right choice if you want leather, heated front seats, memory settings, a premium sound system, HondaLink, and more advanced safety features. It is the trim to target if you want the most well-rounded upscale experience before the top trim.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights. It makes sense if you want the most features and are willing to pay for them.

The EX-L and Touring trims include the most advanced safety technologies, while the EX adds LaneWatch.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Honda Accord?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you have room to shop carefully and still find a decent deal.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,015 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,412, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $11,750 sits slightly below last year's $11,999.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord is still in a buyer-friendly phase, which can help you if you plan to own it for a few years before selling. A lower entry price can also make depreciation feel less painful because you are starting from a more favorable baseline.

The Accord’s strong reputation for reliability and value should help support demand when it is time to resell. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment should remain easier to move than neglected cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Honda Accord safe?

The 2014 Honda Accord earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes SmartVent side impact airbags for the front seats, a reversing camera, and the Advanced Compatibility Engineering II body structure. LaneWatch is included on the EX, while Forward Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning are included on EX-L and Touring trims.

One caveat is that some of the more advanced driver-assistance features are reserved for higher trims, so you should verify the equipment list carefully if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2014 stands out for its polished execution, strong value, and broad appeal across reliability, fuel economy, performance, and comfort.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,234, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,750 average.
• It emphasizes long-term dependability and everyday competence even more clearly.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and broad capability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the safer secondary path for buyers who prioritize long-term dependability over upfront savings.

How does the 2014 Honda Accord compare to the 2014 Toyota Camry?

Our experts score the 2014 Honda Accord 9.2/10 and the 2014 Toyota Camry 7.5/10.

The Accord comes across as the more polished and better-rounded sedan, with stronger expert scoring and a more upscale feel. It also brings better fuel economy in the listed base setup and a broader spread of praised qualities, including performance, comfort, and safety.

The Camry remains a solid alternative, but the Accord’s stronger value story and more compelling overall execution make it the easier recommendation here. If you want the better-used-car pick, the Accord is the one to focus on first.
