We have owned this for awhile now and done a lot of traveling the only bad at this point for me as a passenger is on longer trips the front seat gets a bit uncomfortable for me, now that maybe because of some of my health issues. Got this vehicle 8 months ago but as of today we really like the response and handling of this 2014 Escape Titanium model ,with a 2.0 Eco-boost engine and the gas mileage so far is averaging for us 27.8 MPG in the city, have to say that so far highway driving mileage is 28.8 at bottom end and 30.7 at top end, of course a lot of that depends on the habits of the driver so that can always vary. We were not looking for all the extra things in the Titanium package but with the driveability and handling of this particular vehicle we could not pass it up, we got it at a great price too. My wife can not stop smiling when she is in this SUV. We also drove a Titanium with a 1.6 Eco-boost and the 2.5L, My recommendation is go with the 2.0 Eco-boost, it is way more responsive then the 1.6 Eco-boost and the 2.5L engines. You want to have a great ride try a Escape like this one or even the SL, you will be impressed, even if you are fan of other manufacturer. We prefer the 2.0L eco-boost if you want even better MPG the 1.6 L will do that but as I stated the 2.0 has the best power of all engines available in the Escape.

I traded in a Lexus 330, after spending thousands on a new transmission and engine, it was just falling apart after 130,000 miles. After owning the Escape, I'd never buy a Lexus again. The Escape out performs my old Lexus, in every way, fuel economy, power, handling, price and value. The Escape has equipment and option, that are only available on vehicles costing thousands more.
