How much does the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 4.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 976 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is a solid fit if you want a full-size SUV with straightforward capability and family-friendly space, though it comes with some tradeoffs. It earns a user rating of 3.7/5, and owners commonly praise its strong engine, spacious interior, and usefulness for families and long trips. The Tahoe’s roomy cabin, three-row layout, and ability to tow up to 8,600 pounds when properly equipped make it especially appealing if you need one vehicle to handle passengers and heavier-duty tasks. At the same time, its size can make it cumbersome in cities, and the limited cargo room behind the third row is worth keeping in mind. With 29.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

The 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe is built around a simple, proven setup with a truck-based design, a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Owners often describe it as strong and dependable for family use and long trips, which lines up with its straightforward mechanical layout. That said, some drivers mention occasional transmission issues, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the vehicle drives on a test route. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is buying a high-mileage example with deferred maintenance or unresolved drivetrain concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the transmission, suspension, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear or poor repair work. Because this is a large SUV that may have seen family duty, towing, or heavy use, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 976 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,205, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $12,250 sits slightly below last year's $12,829.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has softened enough to give you some negotiating room today. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may be able to limit further depreciation better than if you overpay now. For a future seller, the key will be buying at the right price and maintaining strong service history, since condition will matter a lot in a large SUV like this.

Should I buy a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.51% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2014 Tahoe makes sense if you want a straightforward full-size SUV with strong towing ability, a roomy cabin, and a lower used price than newer versions. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 can be a smart entry point, but you should be selective and prioritize condition and history over simply chasing the cheapest listing.
