How much does the 2014 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 11.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 375 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Cadillac Escalade earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid overall satisfaction. The overview frames it as a full-size luxury SUV with a distinctive design, a refined and technology-rich interior, body-on-frame construction, available all-wheel drive, and standard or ESV body styles, so you get a traditional Escalade formula built around size, luxury, and utility. It also emphasizes strong equipment and capability, which makes it appealing if you want a large luxury SUV with a substantial presence and useful towing ability. 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle built around durable, truck-based construction and a straightforward single powertrain, which can be reassuring for used buyers who value familiarity over complexity. At the same time, its size, equipment load, and luxury features mean you should expect ownership costs and upkeep to matter more than they would on a simpler SUV. For used buyers, long-term risk is less about the basic formula and more about how well the vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for structural repairs, electrical issues, and signs of heavy use. Focus on condition details that matter on a large luxury SUV, including interior wear, technology operation, and evidence that the vehicle has been maintained consistently. If a listing looks especially clean, make sure the paperwork and inspection support that impression.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 375 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,734, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $14,734 sits slightly below last year's $16,679.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been cared for. A clean, well-documented example should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $19,434, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $14,734 average.
• It was redesigned to emphasize stronger presence and desirability.

The bottom line: If you want the lower-cost path into Escalade ownership, the 2014 is the better starting point. If you’re willing to pay more for the next year’s redesign and stronger image appeal, the 2015 is the upgrade path to consider.
