Is the 2014 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Audi Q5 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its performance, comfort, smooth ride, and stylish design, and many also see it as a good value for a premium SUV. The Q5’s roomy, beautifully built interior and everyday usefulness make it especially appealing if you want a refined SUV with a premium feel rather than a rugged off-roader. Is the 2014 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling driving experience, with praise for its smooth ride and overall comfort. That said, used buyers should still think carefully about maintenance history and condition, since long-term ownership risk can rise if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi Q5?

At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, signs of past collision repair, and overall mechanical health. Given the model’s known ownership concerns, you should also pay close attention to maintenance records and how well the vehicle has been kept.

What is the 2014 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $9,757 sits slightly below last year's $10,503.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests resale upside may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter more, because well-kept examples tend to stand out when prices are under pressure. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, especially for shoppers looking for a premium SUV with a polished driving experience.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2014 if you want a well-equipped premium SUV and can verify condition carefully. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2014 remains a sensible choice when you find a clean example with strong records and a competitive price.
