Is the 2014 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.64/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, performance, and stylish design, and many also describe it as a good value for a premium SUV. The Q5’s appeal is strongest if you want a luxury SUV that emphasizes everyday usefulness, a polished driving experience, and a well-built cabin. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2014 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling driving experience, with repeated praise for smoothness, comfort, and the kind of solid, trouble-free character shoppers often want in a long-term vehicle. That said, used buyers should still treat maintenance history seriously, because a premium SUV can become expensive if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Audi Q5?

At 60.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on the engine, drivetrain, and suspension, so you can catch wear or deferred maintenance before you buy. Focus on overall condition and service records, since a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the premium ownership experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 708 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,788, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $9,789 sits slightly below last year's $10,624.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future depreciation feel a little less abrupt if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, the key is to avoid overpaying now, because resale value is easier to preserve when your purchase price starts near the market low. A well-kept Q5 with strong service history should be easier to move later than one with visible wear or incomplete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a premium midsize SUV with strong owner approval, the 2014 Q5 is a sensible target, especially if you can find one with clean history and solid maintenance records. If you’re more price-sensitive, it makes sense to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge.
