Well built and designed car. Quiet, stable ride. Auto-traction control great in the snow. Amazing acceleration for a four cylinder especially in Sport mode (thank you twin turbos!). Good visibility for an SUV. Runs great on mid-range fuel. Excellent braking and feels in control during hard braking.

If the x3 has the notorious n20 4 cylinder motor I would caution you if one decides to buy. Go online to any bmw forums and you’ll find out how bad they can be. Especially if the x3 has over 100 thousand miles. The problem is the timing chain. Also ( they won’t tell you this) if the owner did the recommended synthetic oil change every 10 thousand miles the motor could be wore out. Plus, major motor parts start going bad after 100 thousand miles such as water pump, turbo oil cooler, radiator, sensors, etc. I can also tell you if you get one you’ll have frequent dashboard alarms go off constantly like “ Drivetrain Malfunction “ The reason I wrote this review is because I had the privilege of owning one of these 2013 x3. What a nightmare.

Good safety features. Heated seats are a must. Could use a navigation system.
