Surprisingly reliable as a Toyota car or VW car. It is also more reliable than any BMW vehicle my friends own. Most expensive bit I had to repair is the HVAC fan unit, and replacement tyres (235/55R19) both at around $900.00 for replacement, including labour. Lasted for 150,000mi with me until I traded it in for a more modern car. I had no transmission issues, no operation issues under severe weather conditions, no engine failures. I have averaged 33.5mpg everyday in both city and highway driving. I probably take care of my vehicles better than most people, and I am usually pro-active in maintenance or prompt to address any issues that arises. I would recommend the Audi Q5 as a good commuter/everyday car.

- Turbo-lag is not significant, but noticeable - Lack of torque is a problem - Fuel economy is great on the highway, averaging up to mid 30's - Good quality construction, very good cabin atmosphere - Cinnamon Brown seats look amazing! - Steering slightly Japanese feeling (artificial), but not entirely, mixture of Japanese and German steering characteristics

I thought this would be the perfect keeper car - like a swiss army knife of sorts. It had many great qualities save for two that led to it's sale - first, the front edge seat bolster was uncomfortable against back of thigh. Second, the 8-speed auto was ok but not quick enough to make it as fun as I thought it would be.
