Reviewed a 2011 Mercedes-Benz E 350 Sport 4MATIC on Jun 17, 2013

I've owned quite a few luxury vehicles. I was going to go for a new BMW 3 series (they made them larger in 2011) but I just couldn't justify spending big $$ on a car that just isn't reliable. I also looked at the Audi A6 but the price is high, even used, and there are also reliability issues. So I went the conservative route and picked up the 2011 MB e350 4matic. They can be found at basically half new price, in mint condition, 2 years old, with 25k miles all day long. You basically get a 2 year warranty when you purchase this vehicle. If it gives you trouble mechanically you can sell it or trade it in at the end of the warranty and not take the financial hit because you got it so cheap in the first place. But the reliability of the e series is pretty high so it probably won't be an issue. Nice luxury ride, turns heads, reported reliability... no brainer with depreciation price factored in.
