Mercedes revamped the E-class in 2010, and as the 3rd year production of this new generation E class, Mercedes has succeeded in making its mid-sized luxury line a lot more desirable. Even though the handling of the new E-class is still not comparable to the BMW 5 series, it's technology user-friendliness has improved by ages from the last generation. Navigation, voice command, and the rare night vision option are a lot easier to use. You may have a hard time trying to work the shift knob situated right next to the steering wheel instead of the center console; but once you get used to it, it is actually pretty effortless. With plenty of room in the back, this heavy sedan may need a little more oomph as the 3.5L V6 engine only produces 268 horses and 258 lb-ft of torque. The front styling is superbly designed (looks almost, if not, more expensive than the S-class IMO). Overall, this is a great mid-sized family luxury sedan.
