(3 reviews)Great truck all considered. It's as big as I would ever want a vehicle. Has good power with the 4.0 V6 and the 5-speed manual as I can hit 60mph in ~7.5seconds. It handles like it was built in the 1970's but my last vehicle was an RX8 so I'm used to a well balanced car. Linex bed-liner is the best thing I could have done. It really is practically invincible. I get more work done with my Ford Ranger than most guys ever think of doing with their full size 4x4's and for less than half the price. Interior quality leaves a little something to be desired and for a car with a standard satellite radio you'd expect key-less entry to also be standard. I had to install that myself from the aftermarket. 2011 models have std. stability control and rear disc brakes instead of the typical drums. There are millions of these on the road so maintenance should be about as cheap as they come. Lock for the tailgate and a good folding tonneau cover maximize the trucks versatility and for a grand total of $16,000 after taxes, fees and accesories I have a brand new truck that should serve me well, long after the 5 year warranty runs out.
One of the main reasons I need to get rid of it is the fact that it isnt a family vehicle and I really need more space for car seats. It does not have a bed liner. It accelerates very smoothly and has wonderful handling especially on windy roads and tight corners. The brakes arent too touchy but very reliable and makes a safe vehicle, side air bags on both driver and passenger side and front air bags for both driver and passenger. It went on a few road trips and the bucket seats make a comfortable ride for long distances. Its an enjoyable truck to have and convenient to tow something under 3,200 lbs, its also nice to have a bed for moving small furniture or just hunting/fishing/work/sporting equipment. Ranger is one of the more reliable and economic mid size trucks on the market. The silver exterior does not show much dirt and the pearly over coat looks really sharp on a sunny day. Great overall truck and holds some serious market value!
6 foot tall or more, your head will rub on the roof if you wear any kind of hat and the seat will have to be all the way back which makes the little child seat behind you useless. The V6 has good power, and fuel in the city is about 420 km for 70 L of reg gas. Floor mats are not included. It is a good looking truck inside and outside no matter what package you get.
