(7 reviews)My prius had to have been one of the greatest purchases I've made in my life. Although it is not a luxury car, you can count on it to get you from point A to point B. Not only that there is a fair amount of cargo space in the trunk, especially for such a small car that it is. I would not recommend this car to anyone trying to reinstate their masculinity, though. It's too cute.
Have owned car for less than 3 weeks. To date have had 2 fill ups. MPG has been 50mpg and 48.5 mpg on the 2 fill ups. Actual driving of the car not any different than driving any other low powered auto. My last car was a infiniti G35 which was exceptionally zippy so is a difference. Very satisfied with the accessories including Ipod link, satellite radio, climate control. NO squeaks or rattles to date. Biggest difference is adjusting to the "starting" and "turning off" the car. Overall happy with the car to date.
ride mileage low maintence and retention of value when prices of gas go up so does the price of used prius's very low cost maintence have a 2006 prius with 160,000 miles and still running great wifes car my 100,000 mile inspection was less then 350 $ with all the other cars I have had never got out of the shop for double that
LOVE Gas mileage - consostently at 50 mpg unless speeds exceed 60 MPH - MPG drops to approx 40-42 mpg Handling - easy to park - accelerates well Safety Technology DISLIKE Hard to access child car seat Back seat ride is loud - seat is small
I especially liked the fact that this was a lease trade-in by someone who drove the car to and from work daily and gave it great care up until the time her new car was ready. I have gotten away from needing to have a current model when one that is two years old with 34K miles is available and saves me from absorbing first year's depreciation. I love the comfort of this car as well as the luxury of the way the Level 4 model is equipped. The fuel mileage is always at least in the high forties and most often shows 50-51 mpg. We drove from OH to ME several weeks ago in it and couldn't have been more pleased with it.
