To anyone who has a torrent and an overheating problem... Long story short, mine wasnt the radiator, water pump or thermostat (the usual culprits), or a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Do a compression test and if you find weak compression on one side, pull that valve cover off. I found a melted charred mess in a coolant channel that restricted flow. Fixed that, and hasnt run hot since

I like it because it handles better than my old suv. I'm glad that we purchased it as a family car, it comes in handy during winter months. It also gets good gas mileage as well which is a plus in our book.

The price was great and the Torrent is very pleasing to the eye. I love the how roomy it is from front to back. The electronic steering was hard to get used to at first because it is so touchy. But, I am used to it and love the smoothness.

The car handles very well. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee before this one, and I thought it handled like a rowboat in a storm. I really like driving this one, handles very well, smooth comfortable ride. Gas mileage is ok for it's size. Back seats adjust and are comfortable with plenty of legroom. Plenty of cargo room.
