Reviewed a 2007 INFINITI RWD on Jan 8, 2009

Performance of this crossover SUV is good, considering it is a V-6 at 270 HP. It makes a lot of good noise when you accelerate hard, but runs high RPMs at high speeds even with the 5 speed auto. Braking is very good, almost sports car-like. It also handles similar to a softly-sprung sports car, but you pay for it on bumpy roads. The 20" rims also like to follow tracks in the pavement, and a firm hand must be on the wheel at all times. Those 20" rims also make for some expensive run-flat replacement tires - buyer beware. Build quality is great, with absolutely no problems. The exterior caught my eye many years ago in LA when I saw a prototype on the streets and wondered what the heck that thing was! It still looks really good 6 years later and seems to be better than the 2009 restyle. Gas mileage is typically 19-22 MPG, but it is probably on the better side of crossover SUVs. It is fun to drive overall, but can get bumpy off-roading.
