2007 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx SS Review
by busmaster2

Can't Understand What's Not To Like

I've had this 07 Malibu SS for a couple of months now, and not to overstate the case: I love it. Prior to owning this car I had a Honda Element which while nice nevertheless disappointed me in its AWD lack of traction, and generally poor mileage. Now, in exchange for better Hwy mileage, I have a nice comfortable interior, good sound system, and g...

Avg. Dealer Rating: (6 reviews) "Bought this truck Monday. In the ad it was listed as a Big Horn Quad Cab, exactly as you have it shown, except the weekend price was listed as $20,990. That is the price I gave for it. I happily drove the truck over 100 miles to my home near Tyler. Tuesday evening I was trying to educate myself about the features of the truck when I realizes that the truck was not a Big Horn but actually a SLT model. I contacted the internet sales person I had worked with (Will) Wednesday morning, explained the situation, and said that I really liked the truck and wanted to keep it. I asked if they would do something to make the ad mistake right. Will said he would call me by 5:00 that day. He never called back. When I went back and looked at the fine print online description on Wednesday, the ad on that day did say that it was an SLT. Don't know if that was what the description said over the weekend when I was shopping online -- didn't think to print it off then. Guess the fine print description is more important than the headline description to folks at Don Herring Mitsubishi! Still waiting to hear back from Will."

Avg. Dealer Rating: (38 reviews) "I wouldn't recommend this dealership. As soon as I walked on the lot I was stalked by a salesperson which made me uncomfortable, particularly since I had an appointment and just got off the phone with the woman I was meeting with. I told the salesman that and he continued to follow me telling me he's trying to explain the process to me. I'm almost 60 years old. I know how to buy a car. I can't stand it when a salesperson follows you around like he's your shadow. Very annoying. The car I was there to look at was damaged (dented rear bumper, trunk lid didn't line up properly, clearly the car was damaged). If a car's been in an accident that should be disclosed on the internet so people don't waste their time driving all the way to the dealership if they're not willing to consider a car that's been in an accident. I wasted 3 hours of my day dealing with misinformation and spent another hour on the phone the next day talking with a manager at the dealership who called me to follow-up and at first I believe genuinely wanted to figure out a way to make things right, but ultimately just became defensive, further wasting my time. Won't be back and won't be suggesting this place to my friends either. "
