Good, not great, car
After 6,000 miles of ownership, I have to say that a Camry is simply a Camry. Known for its reliability and fuel economy and not too much more. While the car has more style and better lines than its previous generation, there is still plenty to be desired. Decent acceleration for a four cylinder when the AC is not on, but a noticeable decrease in power with it on. The stock radio exceeds my expectations on any sound system, especially while listening to bluetooth audio. I wish satellite radio was an easy option to add without adding 5 other things with it, but again the bluetooth audio makes up for that. Overall its a great car that isn't awful to be seen in, but nothing to brag to your friends about. If you're looking for safe, reliable transportation on a daily basis, you won't be disappointed. -
Good, not great, car.
The 2015 redesign is significantly improved from the previous style. It has similar body lines and styling of its luxury sister, the Lexus ES350 and the same rims as the current body style of what is now the Infinti Q40. The interor received softer plastics, and in the SE and XSE models, an upgraded TFT dashboard to give it a sportier look. One of the biggest downfalls of the new Camry which I hoped to see fixed with the redesign is the interior road noise. It is borderline unacceptable, even with the upgraded michelin tires and 17in alloy rims. In the 5,300 miles I have owned the car, it has only been in the shop once, for its routine maintenance. Gas mileage is phenomenal, especially highway driving. When doing an all highway trip, I can easily average 39-41 mpg. The acceleration is acceptable, but suffers severely when the AC is on. Sport mode with the paddle shifters is fun, however the standard position when shifting into sport is s3, or third gear - which doesn't make much sense. Vehicle brakes smoothly, and handles extremely well. -
Fantastic!
When you say fuel efficiency you would instantly think as a car buff that the car will not be cool, fast etc. But this Camry in particular just really stood out. Its beautiful, amazing on gas especially with this economy we live in and it is also a great daily car. Super comfortable for long trips!
