For 2006, the Reno gets some interior updates and cleaner emissions. This 4 door hatchback also gets a new midrange Convenience trim to go in between the Base and Premium. Finally, the Premium gets 15 inch wheels and a rear spoiler.

All three trims feature a 2.0 L, 126 hp I4 engine with standard 5 speed manual transmission and optional 4 speed automatic. Gas mileage comes out to 22 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. The Reno provides enough room to seat 5 passengers.

While the updates help add style to the Reno, drivers still see it as a budget ride that doesn't measure up to the industry leaders. The I4 powertrain, engine noise, and rougher handling ensure that it won't get a second look from driving connoisseurs. On the other hand, the Reno will do just fine for those with a tight budget and modest expectations.
